Waterboarding article edit

Re:this edit - the introduction to the waterboard article is the product of long discussion and consensus on the talk page. Please get consensus on the talk page before changing text that has been discussed so extensively. I've reverted your edit. Raul654 (talk) 03:14, 9 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

The introduction to the waterboarding page was in direct violation with Wikipedia's policy against including points of view in the articles. If you wish to express your point of view please do so on the discussion page. As for the article, I'll continue to scrub it to comform with Wikipedia's standards. ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
