This is a nice start, Dakin; I'd suggest making a separate subsection on the Ekphrasis page (under "Ekphrastic Genre") for Ekphrasis in Ancient Literature; this is actually different from Ekphrastic Poetry in a modern sense, but whoever originally put the page together lumped it all under one. You'll want to move some of the stuff that was already there, and some of your own stuff, under that new section and probably also make some sub-sub-sections. Hi Dakin,

I just finished up going through and peer editing your article. I made a number of changes on the article directly. I tried to save the article as I went through, so you could easily back out the changes if you wanted to. Overall, the whole article was well written with good additional sources.. The alternative sources that you cited were good. In addition, the number of epics you covered was good. There were a number a grammatical errors in the Argonautica and Aeneid sections that made it difficult to fully understand the meaning of the section. I would also look at the structure of these two sections. I tried to fix the grammar errors and reorganize the sections a bit. Finally, if you have any questions about any of the comments or changes I made, please let me know.

Ekphrasis Genre Comments: One thing that I noticed with this section was that it was repeated in two different sections Epkhrasis genre and Ekphrasis in ancient literature. I deleted the section that was in Epkrasis genre.

Iliad Comments: I think you should include a reference to the epic's title and book during this section. I also added in a citation for this section. If you have the time, then this would be a possible section on which you could expand.

Odyssey Comments: I corrected a grammatical error, and I changed the lines citation to proper format. Once again, if you have the time, then this would be a possible section on which you could expand.

Argonautika

Comments: I made a number of changes on this section of the article. I may have misunderstood the meaning of the sentence as I edited this section, so just disregard the changes if I altered some important meaning. First, I moved this up to the Greek Literature section. Next, you may want to add citations in for each line in the list. Third, there was a number of grammatical errors (run-on sentences and commas) through out this section that I tried changed. Finally, the flow of this section was difficult for me to flow. I tried to reorganize it to flow a bit better. I would try to combine the representation of the donning of the cloak into one paragraph. I would also try to weave in the part about the catalogue of women in the Odyssey better or add a further sentence analyzing this sentence.

Possible structure for this section:

1. I. Introduction to ekphrastic poetry in the Argonautica and the cloak
2. II. summary of description
3. III. importance within the epic
4. IV. analysis with Iliad and the Odyssey

Aeneid Comments: I liked how you did the introduction to this section because it gave the historical context and the author of the epic. Once again, I made a number of changes on this section of the article. I may have misunderstood the meaning of the sentence as I edited this section, so just disregard the changes if I altered some important meaning. First, I think that you need to add in a couple of citations for this section such as when you write the Aeneid was used for propaganda. I marked the areas where I thought a citation was needed with a citation needed template. Next, I found a number of grammatical errors through out this section that made the section difficult to understand your exact meaning. I tried to correct the grammatical errors, but I have misunderstood your point as I tried to correct it.
