I know for fact that he was present, because I was there. While it may not be relevant to you, it may be to others. Also, this is like the only page I watch and/or care to edit. David Justice has been my idol since I was 4 years old and I will continue to watch this page to ensure that it is completely accurate. It should be noted that I was the one that added the information regarding his current wife, his kids (which I had all of his kids correctly noted, and then someone messed it up), and his fraternity. Please keep the page to be edited by a David Justice professional, such as myself. .DizzyFLIPPINd

I'm glad to see that we have a mutual role model in David Justice, and while I can't claim that he's been my idol since I was 4, I can tell you that I have followed his career since his last year in Richmond. Over the last fifteen years I have interviewed six former big-leaguers and four current (as of Dec-08) big-leaguers to contribute to Justice's biography. The highlight of my journey was in August 2007 when I drove sixteen hours to Georgia to interview Justice himself and congratulate him on being enshrined.

I was there as well, as were tons of Justice's former teammates, members of the media, fans and general well-wishers, none of whom are notable enough to require that they be listed individually. Why would we specifically note that "Dizzyd" attended, when a) he/she was not the focal point of the ceremony, b) this was in recognition of a sporting accomplishment, not a musical event, and c) he/she was not even mentioned throughout the entire festivites? I'm not going to get in a pointless revert war with you, but consider the fact that you're doing your idol a severe disservice by drawing attention away from David Justice in his own wikipedia article.

Not to nit-pick, but what exactly makes you a "David Justice professional?" Professional implies that you get paid - how much do you make for dropping the name of an unknown rapper in your idol's wikipedia page? While I like to think that my collection amounts to a David Justice museum - and myself as something of an expert on his career - I make my money as a sports writer and novelist. It's too bad, because I think the rest of the work you've done on the article is great, I just have to wonder if your decision regarding Dizzyd is a result of poor judgment, tasteless self-promotion, or both. While I am not sure about your collection, if your eBay name is similar to your Wikipedia name than I am sure I have been in a number of bidding wars with you. I, too, feel as though my collection is among the best. I could never compete with that of Stu's (s.m.t.), but I think I have built a pretty solid collection... especially considering my age and lack of funds during the height of my collecting days. I would literally not each lunch every day just so I could save my money and buy Justice stuff of of eBay. —Preceding unsigned comment added by DizzyFLIPPINd (talkcontribs) 02:04, 19 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Someone else has that ebay name. I have two ebay accounts, the one I use now is Blueberry_12. If you want to see the items in my collection you can check out http://www.freewebs.com/mclairmont/lifelovebaseball.htm, which is outdated by three years but still gives you a good idea. I know Stu Thomas well because we're both Canadians, and we've done business a number of times. Another one to look for is Burbank Sports Cards on ebay, they have tons of incredibly rare stuff.

In the last three months I've added three jerseys (my first of him on the A's!) a game-used and signed helmet, and a 5ftx17ft banner of Justice that was displayed at Jacobs frield during the 1999 season - that one cost a pretty penny. I've thought about selling my collection someday, but it would have to be after the book is done. Have you ever met Justice?DJustice23 (talk) 14:19, 19 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Yeah I have seen you quite a few times. I am DaveJusticeOakAs. I mainly focused on game used and autos. I had basically all of them at one point, but then the Donruss Recollections buybacks started being released and stuff. I personally didn't care for them, so I decided not to chase them. I got pretty old of collection in like '04, so I don't have much since then... though I did pick up a few items in '05. I was pretty good friends with Stu back when I collected, he is a great guy. I also remember seeing that banner on eBay. I almost bid, but I just started my new job so I didn't want to spend the funds. As for meeting Justice, I never have really met him 1 on 1. I live in Atlanta, so I went to quite a few games where he would be really close... but I never got his auto in person or anything. I got pretty close to meeting him at the introduction. My table had the bullpen catcher, and he just happened to be the dad of this kid I knew from high school. He said he was really impressed that I would pay the $100 for a ticket and go by myself at my age. Long story short, he said he wanted me to meet him and would see what he could do after the ceremony. Unfortunately, it got really busy and I had to leave for work. Oh well, I will meet him eventually. —Preceding unsigned comment added by DizzyFLIPPINd (talkcontribs) 03:22, 20 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
