Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/London Irish Amateur edit

When you put an article up for deletion you put up a valid reason why you are nominating it for deletion. Just saying amateur club is not suitable because some amateur clubs can be notable. Mr. C.C.Hey yo!I didn't do it! 15:25, 10 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for the condescending welcome message. Your non admin closure within 24 hours and 2 comments, one by you and another by the page creator, is wrong, no matter what your opinion on the reason. Provide the normal reasons, but don't step outside the rules to get your way again. CynofGavuf 06:32, 11 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

It is being speedily closed due to the fact that "amateur club" is not a valid reason for nomination. If you want to put it up for deletion, do so a second time under a new nomination with a better reasoning. Besides, as I said, some amateur clubs are notable. Next time you open an already closed discussion, it can be seen as disruptive and you can be blocked from editing. Until you are willing to have a better reasoning, the discussion is purely pointless and needs to be closed. Mr. C.C.Hey yo!I didn't do it! 15:08, 11 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

If you nonadmin close an AfD again I will start a post at ANI. I'll refer you to Wikipedia:Non-admin closure. Reasons to not nonadmin close:

"The non-admin has demonstrated a potential conflict of interest, or lack of impartiality, by having expressed an opinion in the deletion debate."

That's you. Also: "The snowball clause. Only close early if a clear Wikipedia:Speedy keep applies."

Doesn't apply here.

Also see WP:NACD. "Closing discussions in which you have offered an opinion or for a page that you have edited heavily presents a conflict of interest and should be avoided or the closure may be challenged as unfair. The sole exception is if you are closing your own withdrawn nomination as a speedy keep and all other viewpoints expressed were for keep as well." CynofGavuf 19:26, 11 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

You didn't change your reasoning. One more nomination like that and it will be viewed as disruptive and you can you be blocked from editing. If you are not taking this seriously, then don't nominate. Mr. C.C.Hey yo!I didn't do it! 20:40, 11 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Other people have no confirmed what I originally told you. You're wrong. You don't get to close every AfD you don't like because you don't think the explanation is adequate. Don't comment on my talk page anymore, and if you close an AfD outside of policy again I will post at ANI. CynofGavuf 21:33, 11 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion contested: P. Mohan Kandaswamy edit

Hello CynofGavuf. I am just letting you know that I contested the speedy deletion of P. Mohan Kandaswamy, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Elected member of Tamil Nadu assembly, so automatically notable. Thank you. Larry R. Lawrence edit

Hi there. You proposed this article for deletion using the WP:BLPPROD process: I have contested the deletion, as I found this source, which I believe is acceptable:[1]. If you still feel the article should be deleted, feel free to take it to AFD. Robofish (talk) 22:24, 11 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Article edit

Re:My article - Mehr Lal Soni Zia Fatehabdi now on my User page. Sir,I have tried to improve the article to bring it in line with Wiki Policies.Kindly have a look.I drew Mr.Sandstein's attention to it and he says the refs.are still inaccessible/not as per:WP:CITE.He says refs.should be inline and formatted.I have told him I do not know how to do this and I need some one's assistance. Can you help me in this matter because I have given the needed refs.and citations(book and page-wise)on my talk page.I do not know how to interlink etc; can some one help me so that I can then seek community consensus at WP:DRV as suggested by Mr.Sandstein.Sir,I know only how to type I am not yet computer-conversant.My aim is to learn new processes but under some ones guidance. ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
