Looks like you might need to familiarise yourself with WP:N, WP:RS, WP:CITE, WP:V - please red these before creating another article - thanks SatuSuro 02:41, 18 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Gisella anastasia

edit

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Gisella anastasia, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Hi Cyclopps, would you care to explain why you removed the above-mentioned prod tag from this article without explanation and without addressing the problem (i.e., no sources establishing the notability of this person)? Thanks, --Crusio (talk) 15:49, 24 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hi Crusio, I am really sorry but I am not really sure why the prod tag was put on the article. Is it because of the date of birth or what? I already deleted the date of birth. Howver, I would like to include the date of birth in the article too. Sorry for the inconvenience, but I am really new to this wikipedia writing thingy. Thanks..... Cyclopps

Have a look below and carefully above at why deletion items come up - until you build a stub with items mentioned below - its gonna keep happening SatuSuro 01:27, 25 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Case of what not to do: - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ruth_Sahanaya

For a stub to survive - you need to deal with issues already mentioned above - that could be easily have been deleted on a speedy delete.

  • (1) No references - to survive the WP:N and WP:V and then WP:RS you need a web link or article that can prove the person exists
  • (2) No project tags on the other side - WP INdonesia, WP Biography living
  • (3) Lists of songs or records do not make a survivable article.
  • (4) No category at base of article -

Otherwise it could be considered non notable or a hoax article as it is and be deleted without any problems.

If you ignore the advice, expect your attempts to be deleted

Also learn how to sign - you need the four tildes - cheers SatuSuro 01:25, 25 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Unreferenced BLPs

edit

Hello Cyclopps! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. Please note that all biographies of living persons must be sourced. If you were to add reliable, secondary sources to this article, it would greatly help us with the current 875 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

  1. Ruth Sahanaya - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Asian 10,000 Challenge invite

edit

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 01:32, 20 October 2016 (UTC)Reply
