Well, it looks like you're doing fine! I guess I should remind you to sign your posts on talk pages; the handy message above has instructions on that. As for article writing, remember to use double brackets for internal links between Wikipedia articles; just try viewing the source on an existing article to see how it works. Getting to more serious things, I'm not sure if Houseboat and Houseboating need to be separate articles, which is why I applied merge tags to them; of course, you're welcome to disagree.
