File copyright problem with File:7thHeavenS4.jpg edit

Thank you for uploading File:7thHeavenS4.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright and licensing status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page. One Tree Hill edit

First off, we can't just list recurring characters, they need to be sourced. If there's a "casting" section, then all the information will be there and we don't just list things. A "starring" section for series regulars is only there because of the episode list. The infobox cuts into the episode list and that can't happen. Which is why the DVD releases get removed sometimes. The DVD release is fine because it's already in the article and sourced, no information is being removed. If you want recurring characters somehow listed, the way to do it is shown on the episode list of Season 8: One Tree Hill (season 8). Adding them into the episode summary is allowed. Jayy008 (talk) 14:38, 26 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

Also, if you can change the color from white to another, then feel free. I don't know how to do it. Jayy008 (talk) 14:48, 26 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
That's incorrect. The pages you've shown aren't in guidelines. It's Original airdate/production code/viewers. However, I don't even think production code is allowed anymore. Jayy008 (talk) 10:19, 28 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
PS. sorry it took me so long to check. But I've checked and the order you're changing is old, for an example of a good article see Smallville (season 10) for how something should look. Jayy008 (talk) 10:33, 28 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
I reverted your edits because you changed the order incorrectly. Jayy008 (talk) 18:44, 28 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

It's not the order I like, I personally have no preference. It's only season 1 and 2 that need changing. I'm not asking you to change it. Jayy008 (talk) 19:01, 28 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

Very good, thanks! Jayy008 (talk) 19:46, 28 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

Infobox references edit

Thanks for adjusting the hatnote in Mash Off to use the standard template. I've done the same for the article at the other end.

I did wonder, however, at your removal of the reference for the next episode in the infobox. We've typically referenced all unaired episodes in this way wherever mentioned until the episode actually airs, at which point the episode titles are no longer deemed to require references in articles, infoboxes or other places. Can you let me know the rationale or the Wikipedia policy/page that militates against using a reference for unaired episode articles? Thanks! BlueMoonset (talk) 04:42, 14 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

PS: Please reply here, so we can keep the conversation in one place. I appreciate it. BlueMoonset (talk) 04:44, 14 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

My mistake. I confess that did not remove the reference according to Wikipedia policies. I did it to preserve the beauty of the infobox. Besides, there's other places -not precisely in the article- where I can put the reference to the next episode. I apologize for the inconvenience, I did it once before and now, there's no reason for me to do it again. Just remember after the next episode airing, remove the reference. Thanks. Cvhcsee (talk) 04:56, 14 November 2011 (UTC)Reply
We always do remove the references shortly after airing. I'm not fond of the look of references in the infobox, myself, but it's only for a short period of time, and it's important to show that the title does not come out of thin air, or worse, from an unreliable source. Thanks for responding so quickly. BlueMoonset (talk) 05:03, 14 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

Disambiguation link notification edit

Hi. When you recently edited Come Rain or Come Shine: From Grey's Anatomy to Private Practice, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Private Practice (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. AussieLegend () 15:59, 11 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

  • Just to clarify, we use seasons because years eventually don't mean anything. In 10 years time, somebody watching season 2 is going to have to research when season 2 was aired in order to find out what year season 2 was aired so they can work out who the distributor was. Reagrding your edit summary "Says who? Then you might start changing all other series too. Consider to start a discussion on Article`s talk page", use of seasons instead of years is standard practice. If you find years used in other articles, you should be fixing them, not introducing inconsistencies into articles that correctly use seasons. As for "Consider to start a discussion on Article`s talk page", since it was your edit that was opposed, it's really up to you to start a discussion, not me, and you shouldn't edit-war just to get your version into an article! --AussieLegend () 16:06, 11 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
Have u ckeckd the Television Infobox talk page? Either Seasons or years are accepted, and I`m with the vast majority of other series in the same case. I dont understand why it is "getting my version" and I dont understand the attacks since I always respect the MOSs. Cvhcsee (talk) 16:35, 11 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
I know all about the infobox talk page. I've edited the infobox, the documentation page and the talk page many times over many years. The infobox instructions don't say that years or seasons are accceptable. For most fields the instructions say not to include them.
I dont understand why it is "getting my version" - Quite simply, you've made a bold edit and it has been opposed. Per WP:STATUSQUO, if you make an edit which is good-faith reverted, do not simply reinstate your edit—leave the status quo up, or try an alternative way to make the change that includes feedback from the other editor. This is done by starting a discussion on the talk page. Repeatedly reverting like this is edit-warring and is unnaceptable. If you don't discuss the edits and persist in reverting to your preferred version of the article you may be blocked from editing. --AussieLegend () 16:51, 11 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
