License tagging for Image:Philip Lister.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Philip Lister.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

Philip Lister edit

Sorry, I don't think Philip Lister meets the notability criteria for articles in Wikipedia. Check out Wikipedia:Notability (people) to learn more about what we're looking for here. If you think he does fit the criteria then you'd better add some information to the article showing this. As it stands at the moment, someone is going to mark it for deletion at any moment.

If you're Philip Lister, I think all the info in the article could be shifted to your user page instead ("userfied"). Feel free to put a message on my talk page if you have anything you'd like to ask about. --Spondoolicks 14:33, 14 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

I still don't think this article belongs in an encyclopedia. That's my opinion and based on that I'm adding a tag putting this to an "articles for deletion" (AFD) debate where wikipedians can discuss reasons for or against deleting it. Please contribute to the debate and don't take anything too personally. Perhaps read around a few of the other AFD debates to see how they work and how people are making their judgements before adding your own bit. --Spondoolicks 10:55, 15 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
Oh well - too late. It was decided that no discussion was necessary as it was an obvious speedy deletion candidate. Please don't be put off from contributing to Wikipedia. There are thousands of valuable, encyclopedic pieces of information that you could add and many thousands of other ways to contribute to make this project a little bit better - from correcting a spelling mistake to creating new articles (see WP:Requested articles for some articles you might be able to contribute). --Spondoolicks 17:32, 15 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
