Speedy deletion of Chris Stroud

edit

A tag has been placed on Chris Stroud, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

Apparant self-advertising

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet very basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. ≈ The Haunted Angel (The Forest Whispers My Name) 23:26, 24 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Do not remove speedy deletion tags from articles. If you want to protest its deletion you may do so on the talk page, but do not remove the tag.--Dycedarg ж 23:38, 24 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Please stop removing speedy deletion notices from articles that you have created yourself, as you did with Chris Stroud. If you continue to remove them, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. --Dycedarg ж 23:43, 24 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

User Page

edit

The article you created at Chris Stroud is not suitable for a Wikipedia article, which must have a notable subject and be verifiable, but it may be a good start for your own userpage. I have moved it to User:Cstroud, which is where you are encouraged to write about yourself. You are free to move it back into the (Main) namespace but bear in mind that if you do so, it is likely to be nominated for deletion.

The purpose of a user page is to enable active editors of Wikipedia to introduce themselves to other editors. Wikipedia is not a general hosting service, so you should not consider your user page to be a personal homepage. Content unrelated to Wikipedia or its editing may be removed.

Please see the user page guidelines, especially this section for more information. Fan-1967 17:49, 25 January 2007 (UTC)Reply
