Aminoallyl Nucleotide
editLead section: Aminoallyl nucleotides are modified versions of nucleotides(NTPs) used for labeling DNA. These nucleotides, for example, termed aa-dUTP,(u-uracil)are more effective for high density labeling of DNA than pre-labeling. Aminoallyl NTPs can be used for indirect DNA labeling in PCR, nick translation, primer extensions and cDNA synthesis. These labeled NTPs are helpful due to their application in molecular biology labs where radioactive labeling is not allowed or is banned. The different nucleotides; dUTP, dATP, dCTP, DGTP and DTTP (create subunits for these nucleotides ??)Mishasubz (talk) 08:56, 10 March 2014 (UTC)

edit- cDNA (describe each in detail)
- PCR nick-translation
- random-primed labeling
- primer extension.
- DNA microarray, which measures the level of gene expression
Post vs. pre-labeling
editWhat are the benefits and disadvantages of using post-synthesis labeling over pre-synthesis labeling like cyanine (cy) labeling

- Hey Misha, I'm moving this into my user talk page. Thanks for starting this! Crandel5425 (talk) 01:26, 12 March 2014 (UTC)

editHi Randel,
- Should we mention a protocol on labeling with aaNTPs? if so, what do you think about this one
