License tagging for Image:Smelltheglove.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Smelltheglove.jpg. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 08:05, 3 June 2006 (UTC)

I took care of this. It is now licensed under the GFDL. CowardX10 10:29, 4 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

The paragraph was already in there. Your last edit resulted in the paragraph being written twice. Ocatecir Talk 05:04, 26 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

My mistake. Didn't see your merge in the introduction.CowardX10 09:37, 26 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, talk pages are meant to be a record of a discussion; deleting or editing legitimate comments, as you did at User talk:Linas, is considered bad practice, even if you meant well. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. — dαlus Contribs 06:20, 30 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

You refactored someone's comment. This act is strictly prohibited, you did in fact do it and I am not mistaken, do not do it again.— dαlus Contribs 17:43, 30 September 2009 (UTC)Reply
Again, I disagree. Could you point to me exactly where on my contribution history this has occurred? Outside of this discussion, my last contribution was on September 21st.CowardX10 (talk) 17:51, 30 September 2009 (UTC)Reply
Here, you are clearly refactoring someone else's comment, which changes the meaning. Such is not allowed.— dαlus Contribs 20:00, 30 September 2009 (UTC)Reply
You are mistaken again. 1, I don't care much about when it happened, it only matters to me that it happened, and that you need to know policy on the matter. 2, my description is not incorrect. Just because the comment is on a user page doesn't make it any less of a comment. It is still a comment, and you still refactored it. 3, the fact that it was grammatically incorrect is irrelevant. It was refactoring someone else's comment, and is therefore not allowed. 4, you appear to think that if something is grammatically incorrect, it is okay to refactor. This is not the case, and I will not adopt a different tone as long as you think you're in the right about this. As said earlier, refactoring comments is strictly prohibited. You may notice, every once and awhile, that there are various spelling errors on ANI or such. Attempts to refactor these posts, however good-intentioned, are always reverted, as refactoring is not allowed, period..— dαlus Contribs 20:55, 30 September 2009 (UTC)Reply
