Jive recording artist, fourteen year old Jawan Harris is an extraordinary singer/dancer on the rise. With a charming “boy next door” demeanor and vocal styling that will inevitably draw comparisons to a Jackson 5 Michael Jackson, Jawan’s tone cuts through the clutter and rings clear as school bells forcing you to sit up and pay attention.

Jawan took an early interest in singing at the age of three years old. The Chicago native got his start singing in church, influenced by Gospel greats like Karen Clark-Sheard and J. Moss to name a few. Jawan’s singing/dancing influences include the likes of not only Michael Jackson but also Usher and Chris Brown as well.

It was only a matter of time the world would learn about Jawan’s talents. Virally, Jawan immediately grabbed the attention of his listening audience. After a label executive came across a YouTube video performance, Jawan auditioned in New York and was quickly signed to ByStorm/Jive Records by ByStorm CEO Mark Pitts just days before his 12th birthday. And Jawan joined Jive’s r&b/pop powerhouse roster, a roster that includes a few of his musical mentors Usher and Chris Brown.

Jawan’s first single "Nobody" is a soulful upbeat, vibrant track nostalgic of a school day crush. In the video clip for the track Jawan shows off his dancing abilities as well. With the impressions of the video approaching the two million mark, Jawan has already developed an incredible fan-base. "Another Planet" featuring Chris Brown has a bit of an edge mixed with a little swagger, showcasing Jawan’s versatility. Both songs have broad appeal across genres and generations.

With his voice and his personality to match, Jawan already possesses solidified star power. Easily winning over the hearts of parents and teenage girls alike, possessing the elusive "it" factor. Jawan is currently working on his debut album.
