McHenry County edit

Hey, your in Fox Valley conference too? Nice, which school?

Crystal Lake edit

I've seen some of your contributions to the Crystal Lake articles recently. I used to keep them up, but I've moved to another state and I have other article to maintain now, namely Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I hereby pass the torch to you in terms of school and city article related to Crystal Lake and McHenry County in general. (I graduated from South last year.) Cool. You may want to keep tabs on the IP Address 65.79.36.66. It's South's IP and it's usually blocked for vandalism. However, when it's unblocked, it needs to be watched. Have fun! RyanGerbil10(Kick 'em in the dishpan!) 19:04, 10 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Broken link edit

You have a broken link on your userpage. I assume you meant to link to your user page here and not to the site you are linking to which contains nothing and forces you to login before finding that out. :) Angela. 07:25, 30 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Ahh, the culprit was a missing "a". Thank you for informing me of this! Couchpotato99 22:25, 1 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:GatorHead.gif edit

Thanks for uploading Image:GatorHead.gif. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. (ESkog)(Talk) 12:48, 15 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:GR Desert Siege.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:GR Desert Siege.jpg.

Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:GR Jungle Storm PS2.JPG edit

Thanks for uploading Image:GR Jungle Storm PS2.JPG. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 17:30, 2 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Leon J. Lundahl Middle School edit

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Leon J. Lundahl Middle School, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

fails WP:SCHOOL, not notable, lacks 3rd party resources

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. AfD nomination of Leon J. Lundahl Middle School edit

I have nominated Leon J. Lundahl Middle School, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Leon J. Lundahl Middle School. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. Rtphokie (talk) 02:40, 8 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free media (File:LMS Logo.PNG) edit

Thanks for uploading File:LMS Logo.PNG. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:13, 10 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Non-free rationale for File:World Series of Poker game.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:World Series of Poker game.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 12:28, 26 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
