Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent contribution removed content from Wikipedia:Categories for discussion/Log/2007 August 15. Please be careful when editing pages and do not remove content from Wikipedia without a good reason, which should be specified in the edit summary. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you would like to experiment again, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Farnborough Airshow

edit

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Farnborough Airshow, and it appears to be very similar to another wikipedia page: Farnborough Air Show. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 15:48, 13 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Copy-and-paste page moves

edit

Hello, Correctemundo. Concerning your contribution, Farnborough Airshow, a page move cannot be done by simply copying and pasting the contents of a page into a new location, as such a process does not transfer the page's edit history and therefore violates the GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL). As a violation of the page move process, Farnborough Airshow needs to be temporarily deleted under the speedy deletion criteria so that the page you intended to move may be properly moved in a way that will preserve its edit history. Farnborough Airshow has been tagged for deletion, and may have been deleted by the time you see this message. If not, please refrain from editing either the page you intended to move or Farnborough Airshow until the latter has been deleted according to Wikipedia's speedy criterion G6 (non-controversial housekeeping).

If you did not intend to make a page move, then please insert the {{hangon}} tag right below the {{db-copypaste}} tag in Farnborough Airshow and state your intentions on Talk:Farnborough Airshow. An administrator will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do. Thank you for your contributions. MilborneOne (talk) 16:40, 13 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

OK I have deleted the Farnborough Airshow you created and have now moved Farnborough Air Show which automatically creates a redirect. No problem with your rename but when you cut and past it you loose the file history which causes legal problems with the GFDL licence. MilborneOne (talk) 17:02, 13 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Yep, looks perfect. Thanks! Correctemundo (talk) 17:03, 13 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Tokai earthquakes

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Tokai earthquakes, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://geology.about.com/od/eq_prediction/a/aa_tokaiquake.htm. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.)

Proposed deletion of Tokai earthquakes

edit

The article Tokai earthquakes has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

There is a redirect from Tokai Earthquakes to the Nankai megathrust earthquake article

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
