Hello, I've noticed that you've been working on the Forreston, Illinois article. While its great that you are expanding the article, I saw that you added your name in the history section. Bylines are not added to Wikipedia articles due to the collaborative nature of Wikipedia. Everybody's edits are likely to be changed, so what you wrote at one time may not be there sometime in the future. And you might not want to take credit for whatever was added. All articles do have a history log, so people will be able to see what you have contributed to the article. For more information, please see WP:OWN. Regards, ƒingersonRoids 20:09, 2 May 2009 (UTC)
- Ok, in that case, is Kathy Pasch the name of an author for a book? Or is it someone you personally know?ƒingersonRoids 15:24, 3 May 2009 (UTC)
- Ok then, instead of putting her name in the article itself, just use an inline citation for the book so it is clear where the information came from. If you need help with that, please refer to WP:CITE. ƒingersonRoids 20:01, 3 May 2009 (UTC)
