Redirects

The next time you go on a redirect-creating spree, please add the template {{R to section}} to the applicable redirects. I just spent an hour and 500 edits fixing those errors. 🐔 Chicdat  Bawk to me! 11:32, 22 April 2021 (UTC)

It's good that you choose to add that, but it's not an error on my part to not add it. Anyway, since redirects of that format (i.e. with a #subsection) are easily identifiable, surely {{R to section}} could be added by a bot, without needing an editor to do it manually? Colonies Chris (talk) 12:31, 22 April 2021 (UTC)
There is currently no bot that does so, and I'm not in the mood to request approval of R to section bot (talk · contribs) or ChicdatBot (talk · contribs). 🐔 Chicdat  Bawk to me! 12:45, 22 April 2021 (UTC)

AWB

Please be careful with AWB edits, you've broken several bibcodes in [1] (repair). Headbomb {t · c · p · b} 13:43, 27 April 2021 (UTC)

Thanks for letting me know. This was an unintended side effect of an unrelated regex - now fixed. Colonies Chris (talk) 14:28, 27 April 2021 (UTC)

template error

f.y.i., in this edit, you added {{asof}} with a date of 1 July 2020. That template only accepts MM/YYYY because it uses the date in categories (e.g. Category:Articles containing potentially dated statements from July 2020. MB 18:24, 23 May 2021 (UTC)

Links in tropical cyclones by year articles

I don't see why you always unlink countries like China, Japan, and Mexico. It is WikiProject Tropical cyclones tradition to link to country names in the storms section. I get that I shouldn't have reverted you so many times, but it's a little strange that you're so bent on unlinking them. 🏳️‍🌈 Chicdat  Bawk to me! 10:46, 25 June 2021 (UTC)

I unlink major countries in line with WP policy on overlinking. See MOS:OVERLINK, which gives examples of what not to link, such as The names of subjects with which most readers will be at least somewhat familiar. This generally includes major examples of: countries (e.g., Japan/Japanese, Brazil/Brazilian). Colonies Chris (talk) 12:52, 25 June 2021 (UTC)
