Hi, Colonel here. If you have any questions or issues to raise, please feel free to post.
Mission Statement
editYour mission statement for Wikipedia states that you are here for the truth. Perhaps you should read the Wikipedia policy WP:Verify to familiarise your self with what the policy is on the 'truth' before continuing your mission. - Jonty, I'm well versed with WP:Verify, as displayed by my edits on your page, and look forward to applying it to Wiki articles in the future. Again, please try and avoid bringing personal disagreements onto the pages of Wikipedia. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox WP:Sandbox. Cheers, the Colonel. Jonathan Bishop
editI have been watching the Jonathan Bishop posts. I would urge you to check his claim of scholarly notability. I have used Harzing's Publish or Perish (free downloadable software) and searched on Bishop's name in two broad categories: Social Science, Humanities and the Arts; Computing, Engineering and Mathematics. I could found 4 scholarly references to one paper: "Increasing Participation in Online Communities". It was in a real journal: _Computers in Human Behavior_.
Mr Bishop used to make broader claims as to his notability in the Virtual Community page. When I questioned him on this, instead of responding with documentation, several attacks were launched on a person I know well who has a Wikipedia page.

- I have never spoken to you before in my life Mr Wellman, you are just deluding yourself. At least I write all my papers myself Barry, I don't just put my name to student's work as you do. FYI - My recent research has been focussed on appealing to publishers of books, rather than journals, so I can make my research accessible to broader markets and not just academics. --Jonathan Bishop (talk) 19:22, 25 August 2008 (UTC)
- User:Jonathanbishop: Wellman tells me that your statement is false: he has never put his name on students' work that he didn't co-author extensively. He urges you to contact his student co-authors for confirmation. Your statement is false and defamatory. It is so absurd, the Wellman says he will neither sue nor delete. Instead, he will giggle and hope that you relax, calm down and get back to productive work. Bellagio99 (talk) 21:39, 25 August 2008 (UTC)
- What is this about User:Jonathanbishop making defamatory remarks? I thought he was a Master of Laws... (ColonelBuendia99 (talk) 21:57, 25 August 2008 (UTC))

JONATHAN BISHOP
editWhy does this guy get to use Wikipedia to post his resume?
He is clearly engaged in self-promotion. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 161.185.151.92 (talk) 19:11, 29 April 2009 (UTC)

editYou currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Character theory (Media). Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period. Additionally, users who perform several reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. When in dispute with another editor you should first try to discuss controversial changes to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. Should that prove unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. Please stop the disruption, otherwise you may be blocked from editing. Jezhotwells (talk) 23:22, 24 January 2010 (UTC)
