I noticed you recently made some edits to the Kangal Dog article - we are always pleased to welcome new editors! However, I have had to revert some of your changes. We normally like to use a photograph of a dog standing side on in the info box of dog breed articles as it helps to give readers a better appreciation of the breed, so I have included your photo in the gallery section of the article instead. I have also removed the dog's name as it is not usually included in case it is thought to be advertising.

I have moved the weight and heights to the info box and quoted the figures given by the UKC and Kangal Kopegi.

Please remember to include an edit summary when you make amendments as it does help other editors view changes made to articles. If you need any help at all the Teahouse is a great place to ask as there are always helpful experienced editors available there to point you in the right direction. I am no expert but I'm also willing to help as much as I can, so you can just ask me on my talk page if you like.

Kangal Dog edit

Hi, Cobra-BlackMamba,
Thanks for commenting on my talk page, it's great to try and discuss things and it looks like talking is something that needs to be done about the Kangal dog article. I have copied the comments made by both you and Bebekve to the Kangal dog talk page as that is the best place to discuss this.
I'm suggesting it would be better if both of you stop changing the pictures, height and weight information until agreement can be reached.
Come across to the Kangal dog talk page and let's see if we can sort this out as your input would really be appreciated.

Hi Cobra-BlackMamba, It's great to see you commented on the Kangal dog talk page - but unfortunately it's not so great you had changed the height/weight figures to unsourced material. I'm afraid that's why I have had to revert the height and weight figures again; we can only use published figures in Wikipedia articles. I know you have a lot of information about the Kangal dog and it's obviously something you are very passionate about but we just cannot include details without sources. I have left the photo you put into the info box. I have explained this change on the Kangal dog talk page so do please come back across there to discuss the matter. In the meantime, why not look at other information that you have references for to put in the article? Wikipedia does always welcome verifiable information from experts such as yourself.
I really do appreciate how frustrating this must be for you and honestly I am just trying to help.
Also, please could I ask that when you do make changes, put a brief note in the 'edit summary' box - it's just above the 'save' button? It really does make it much easier for other editors to follow the changes made. SagaciousPhil - Chat 13:08, 7 January 2013 (UTC)Reply
