I saw your post regarding line drawings and math notation at the new user's page. I do a lot of both in articles connected with electronics. On Wikipedia it is best to provide line drawings in svg format rather than a raster such as png or jpg. If you don't have a professional graphics package already there is Inkscape which is free open source software you can download here. For math, Wikipedia uses a simplified subset of the LaTeX markup. There is a help page at Help:Displaying a formula. And if you need it, there is a TeX plug-in for Inkscape which will allow you to insert math into your line drawings.
