Independent index generation feature

I prefer to manually archive talk pages rather than having a bot do it after a certain amount of time. (I use User:Σ/Testing facility/Archiver.) However, I just discovered Cluebot III's index generation feature, and that seems nifty. Is there any way to generate such an index while doing the archiving myself? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Daask (talkcontribs)

You could probably get away with setting the archive time pretty high. Maybe something like:
{{User:ClueBot III/ArchiveThis
|archiveprefix=User talk:Daask/Archive
|format= %%i
|age=20000
}}
Or something similar. -- Cobi(t|c|b) 20:57, 6 July 2018 (UTC)

Nikionban

Please remove and delete me what I edit .. that is confusion. thank you Nikionban (talk) 10:15, 7 July 2018 (UTC)

Hi Nikionban
Are you asking that the bot deletes your account? It's not possible for anyone to do that I'm afraid because all edits must be attributable to an identifier - either an IP address if you edit logged out or a username if you edit when logged in.
ClueBot NG is an anti-vandal bot - it's not human so it cannot therefore do things like a Google search to see if what you're claiming is true. It works on probability and your edits contained "die" as part of them. I'm not saying that you're a vandal but any edits from new users containing the word "die", even if part of a name, are going to be flagged to the anti-vandal bot as possible vandalism and you are going to be reverted then. I have googled what you are claiming and I cannot find anything to back this up, therefore I am not going to be undoing the bot's reversion. If your edit is true, I would suggest that you request an edit on the talk page of the article and provide a reliable source backing up your claim. An experienced editor would then be able to make the edit.
I hope this makes things clearer for you.--5 albert square (talk) 05:38, 8 July 2018 (UTC)

Status on ClueBot NG dataset review interface

Hio. I am hoping to make contributions to the database review system when I revert vandalism, but I am not sure if that's possible given that the database review interface is broken as of now. Can you give us hints on when it will be fixed? CommanderOzEvolved (talk) 14:56, 14 July 2018 (UTC)

Edit rate of ClueBot NG

(not an edit request but a suggestion that might need to be discussed, and ultimately implemented by Cobi if they agree)

It might be appropriate to replace the joke "edit rate" of "over 9,000 EPM" in ClueBot NG's infobox with some actual stats or at least the word "unlimited". I get the joke, but I'd prefer some actual information when taking the time to read an infobox. Or, to keep the joke intact, we could use something like this:

{{dfn|Over 9,000 EPM|actually unlimited; can sometimes be as high as 10 EPM on busy weekdays, and as low as 0.5 EPM on weekends}}

Over 9,000 EPM

Alternatively, using the "dfn" tag only for the joke, to ensure accessibility of actual information:

{{dfn|1=Unlimited|2=It's over 9,000!}}

Unlimited

Protected edit request on 18 July 2018

Add a link to mw:Manual:Maxlag_parameter behind the "maxlag" word in the infobox. It took me quite a while to find information about what this means.   ~ ToBeFree (talk) 01:03, 18 July 2018 (UTC) ~ ToBeFree (talk) 01:03, 18 July 2018 (UTC)

Cluebot III seems to have stopped working? --Terra (talk) 05:28, 7 July 2018 (UTC)

Certainly looks that way. The editnotice says to email User:Rich Smith or User:DamianZaremba if the bot is down, so I emailed Rich Smith a few days ago. I have not recieved a response. --AntiCompositeNumber (talk) 02:20, 8 July 2018 (UTC)
Pinging in Cobi to make him aware as well.--5 albert square (talk) 05:06, 8 July 2018 (UTC)
AntiCompositeNumber did you receive a response?--5 albert square (talk) 21:24, 11 July 2018 (UTC)
@5 albert square: No, I don't appear to have recieved anything. --AntiCompositeNumber (talk) 21:26, 11 July 2018 (UTC)
Still down. Thanks, L3X1 ◊distænt write◊ 12:11, 18 July 2018 (UTC)
L3X1 Not sure what is happening with CB3. I think Cobi, Rich Smith and DamianZaremba have been notified. You could use something like OneClickArchiver in the meantime as a temporary measure :)--5 albert square (talk) 23:00, 18 July 2018 (UTC)

Nakagawa station

Hello! Mr.ClueBot Commons.Thank you for commenting on the matter at Nakagawa station the other day. Nakagawa Station was edited in line with the Japanese version, but I'm sorry about having caused your misunderstanding about the matter. However, there are some questions on the current Nakagawa station page. So I have a question. http://www.city.yokohama.lg.jp/koutuu/sub/kounaizu/b31.html According to the floor map of Nakagawa station of the Yokohama Municipal Subway which is listed above, the Shonandai direction is Line 1 and the Azamino direction is line 2.This phenomenon is only Nakagawa station. However, the notation is reversed on this page. I think it's better to fix it, but how about you? If you have any requests, I'm going to make a suggestion on the Blue Line page.Thank you.--Y y men025 (talk) 12:33, 14 July 2018 (UTC)

Please see and respond there.--DBigXray 21:39, 20 July 2018 (UTC)

Y y men025, please also see the notices at the top of this page. ClueBot NG is a robot and is not a human. Please do not try to talk to a robot the same way you would talk to a human. —k6ka 🍁 (Talk · Contributions) 13:24, 21 July 2018 (UTC)

Alka Yagnik

Why? My edits disappeared after some time? Priyanshu Chaubey (talk) 09:54, 20 July 2018 (UTC)

You vandalised the article. The anti-vandal bot removed it. Then you re-added the vandalism so a human editor reverted you as ClueBot NG is programmed not to revert to a revision by itself.--5 albert square (talk) 21:20, 20 July 2018 (UTC)

You save my edit yourself

Priyanshu Chaubey (talk) 18:03, 24 July 2018 (UTC)

If you are again remove my edit then I will take action myself. Priyanshu Chaubey (talk) 18:04, 24 July 2018 (UTC)

Because I am very great fan and lover of Alka yagnik ji Priyanshu Chaubey (talk) 18:06, 24 July 2018 (UTC)

The bot cannot save your edit because it is not human. It cannot edit articles, respond to talk page posts etc, it can only revert edits that it deems are vandalism. In any case your edit is vandalism so it does not belong in the article.
Also, what do you mean by you will "take action"?--5 albert square (talk) 19:27, 24 July 2018 (UTC)
