Your edits to Habbo Hotel

edit

I noticed you changed the infobox image on Habbo Hotel. Please do not make changes like that without first discussing it on the talk page. Your edit has been reverted. Thank you, --Spebi 00:32, 9 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

If you check the edit log, you will find the edit in question was made by a different user. Please don't post accusations like that without first checking it at the edit history - Cloudz679 00:40, 9 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for sorting out the links for the Virgin Trains logos on Wikipedia:Images_and_media_for_deletion/2007_April_9#Image:Virgin_trains_logo_red.gif. I couldn't work out what I was doing wrong - it's obvious now! DrFrench 02:10, 9 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Just did it for the first time myself tonight, I had the same problem earlier! Glad I could help :) - Cloudz679 02:17, 9 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Aretha In Paris

edit

Sorry. I do a lot of Recent Changes patrolling to revert vandalism. Out of hundreds of reverts I sometimes goof (rarely) and make a revert that should not be done. Apparently that's what I did on the Aretha in Paris article. Thanks for correcting it and letting me know. Ward3001 23:25, 9 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:An Epic Defiance.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:An Epic Defiance.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. LorianTC 21:19, 10 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

There's a {{albumcover}} tag on the file; is this not sufficient? Cloudz679 21:22, 10 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

I have replied to your message on my talk page. --LorianTC 21:26, 10 April 2007 (UTC)Reply
No, you must provide a fair use rationale, reasons why the image can be used under the fair use law. You may find these guidelines useful. --LorianTC 21:25, 10 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Well I've uploaded almost 300 album covers since 15 March... this is going to be fun :s Cloudz679 21:27, 10 April 2007 (UTC)Reply
I've added a fair use rationale to the image in question. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. Cloudz679 21:43, 10 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Bonga albums

edit

I don't think his albums deserve any less coverage just because he's primarily popular outside of English-speaking countries. This is an international encyclopedia, and we cover a fair number of topics that are seldom written about in English; that's part of our goal. Anyway, Bonga certainly seems more notable than a lot of vanity articles we get for just-above-garage-band groups. So, can I ask you to please take the prods off of the Bonga albums. If you feel that some of them have insufficient references to stand as independent articles, perhaps you could merge the track listings into Bonga discography. Thanks.--Pharos 02:54, 14 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Two important points, according to WP:A are

  • Wikipedia articles must be based on reliable sources
  • Material added to articles must be directly and explicitly supported by the cited sources.

The material on all the articles tagged with prod actually fails both of these points, and although I support your idea of using the discography to collect the tracklists and album details, this would still require referencing. Cloudz679 19:05, 16 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Nicole Wray's Page

edit

Thank You for editing the page. Please do not change the discography page because it perfect the way it is. Again the page needs to have the discography on the front page. if you delete it then leave the part that say "Further Nicole Wray" under the discography section.

Stadion Varteks

edit

Thank you for your recent contribution to the Stadion Varteks page. What I was trying to do was get the page removed so I can move Stadion Varteksa over it as a redirect, if that makes sense. The Stadion Varteksa page is much older and would be the kept article, but it makes sense to exist at the Stadion Varteks page and not having to be redirected. Please can you help move the page onto the redirect page. Cloudz679 20:13, 20 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

I would, but are you really sure Stadion Varteks is the best name? It gets only 95 Google hits vs 1210 for Stadion Varteksa. It seems we should let the page stay at Stadion Varteksa. Punkmorten 17:18, 21 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
Looking more, perhaps Varteks Stadium is the best "English" name for it, citing rsssf.com and The Scotsman - [1] What do you think? Cloudz679 17:46, 21 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
That one gets fewer Google hits also - 249 to be exact. But it would make a good redirect. In any way we should land on a naming convention for Croatian and other stadiums - right now some are called "stadion" and some "stadium", which is not good. You could try opening a thread at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Football. Punkmorten 17:57, 21 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Stop

edit

I keep putting the American Child cover in the infobox in the article and you keep removing it - stop doing this, as it serves no purpose. Continue removing it and I'll have no qualms about reporting you to ANI. LuciferMorgan 10:27, 29 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

edit

Although there's nothing on the discussion page, or at infobox model, to suggest otherwise, various anonymous IPs have made this edit from time to time. As the page is a regular target of vandalism, I thought it probably the case here. I've reverted the edit again for now, but if we can find a reliable source for it, then it can be re-added again. Unfortunately, I'm not too familiar with the subject, and had not heard of her before she appeared in the recent series of I'm a Celebrity... Hi. Just got back from a short Wikibreak and noticed your message on the above subject. Having just done some quick research, I think you're right, so we'll leave the English sizes in. However, I notice an anonymous IP has re-added something you deleted, so I'm going to remove it again. Cheers Paul20070 (talk) 20:03, 10 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Cusco album cover

edit

An image or media file that you uploaded or altered, Image:2002 (Cusco album).jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion. Please see the discussion to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. MXVN (talk) 03:10, 5 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hello there.

In response to your question about the Cusco 2002 cover images:

The new image is not quite the identical image; it's a slightly more accurate one (easier to read the writing). I re-uploaded it so that the file name (cusco2002cover) and dimensions would be consistent with the other album images. This way, each album cover has 200x200 pixels across the board (which usually actually looks better in the infoboxes than slightly larger images due to its resampling process), and has been viewed on professionally calibrated monitors to achieve the best balance possible without going to the extremes of shifting tints and color balances. Also, the old image had a blank space at the bottom if the image itself, which has now been corrected.

The reason I blanked the information on the older one is because I do not know how to delete it myself, and hopefully it can now be deleted by someone else to save space, as it is no longer needed.

Thanks,

MXVN (talk) 01:34, 5 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Edit: I now see the article on how to recommend an image for deletion. This seems like a good way to go as well. Thanks for putting it up there in the first place; it sure was better than nothing for the time being. :)

Hi, removing the extra year as you have done is a bit confusing imo, where is it now 2009? Off2riorob (talk) 15:29, 13 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Well it said Pompey and to .. loan and the year as so on and then yeovil 2008 so imo it should be added 2009 return to pompey, now a user has followed you and re added 2008 but hs reinserted yeovil with that year. I am unsure as to how we do that when he return to his club, ahall I ask someone with experience in these matters? Off2riorob (talk) 15:49, 13 October 2009 (UTC)Reply
