• I'm finding it very hard to maintain good faith with you. This is the English Wikipedia, an image selected for picture of the day on the English Wikipedia must be an FP on the English Wikipedia. The image you have tried to insert several times is not an FP on the English Wikipedia, and thus cannot be shown as POTD on the English Wikipedia.

As for you uploading the image over the old one on Commons, it is a definite violation of Commons:Overwriting existing files. And I quote: "Files that have been awarded a special status like Commons Featured Picture (or the equivalent on another Wikimedia project) should never be overwritten - the status applies to a particular file version, and even minor changes should be uploaded as a new file."
