We would like to know the following:

1. Are the Knowledge Interfaces (tm) provided helpful and usefull to you?

2. How should we change them so that they are acceptable to the Wikipedia organization and to the Wikipedia community?

3. Is the concept of placing some advertising links within these Knowledge Interfaces acceptable to the Wikipedia community IF it generates revenue for Wikipedia or should they be removed all together?

4. If our technology is used to produce the freely available Knowledge Interfaces to the community is it acceptable to have a link to our web site on produced Knowledge Maps and Views?

5. Would you like the ability to be able to generate a Knowledge Map / View of Gutenberg Project books or Wikipedia information available on their respective websites?

1. No. I tried them now in both Windows and MacOS and I cannot see the purpose of them.
2. The problem is not so much whether they are "acceptable" or not. The question is more if they are "accepted" or not. There is nothing controversial with the format to me. However, as I cannot see any purpose with them, and the only proponent for them right now seems to be affiliated with the web site, they should not be linked to. If a large group of people not affiliated with the web site had accepted them as something great, it would be ok, regardless of if I understand them or not. But that large group of people is not there. Wikipedia is not and should never be a way of promoting yourself, your ideas or your company.
3. To me that is something to discuss if Wikipedia gets dependent on those sites, and if a large group of users agree that they add something really useful. But so far that is not the case.
4. That is so far a hypothetical question, as the KIs are not widely accepted.
5. No. But thanks for your effort. I do not see the purpose of the KIs, but it is clear that you spent a lot of energy and time on them. Mlewan 14:04, 16 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for your comments. Much appreciated. The overall purpose of the Knowledge Interfaces is to aid in finding information as quickly and effeciently as possible, and then to allow one to navigate it once they find it. We believe that finding every paragraph in a document that contains the same theme (word) within seconds is of value. We also believe that finding every document that contains the same themematic structure, or similar thematic structure is also of value. These are the basis for our offering these solutions to Gutenberg and Wikipedia.

Also, I am not sure how I could remove the KI's from the Cirilab web site as they need to be hosted on a web server. Is there a way to post the files within Wikipedia. Then I could remove the associate with Cirilab altogether. I think that would address the concern. If you know of a way that I can transfer the KI files to a Wikipedia location without advertising or link to the company then I will try it.
