Edit request from writer... According to your guidelines I have a conflict of interest

edit

"

I am following up on suggestions from a Wikipedia editor after an email discussion:

As per this email note from Wikipedia editor Yun Shui:

"The issue with re-inserting this statement is that the claim (that you are on O'Reilly's list of enemies) is made by MediaMatters, not directly by O'Reilly. MediaMatters, due to their reputation for having a strong political slant (think the "War on Fox News"), would be regarded as a biased source on Wikipedia. Under Wikipedia's policy on such sources, any statement made by them would need to be directly attributed to them.
"Thus, we could legitimately use the phrase: "Progressive media watchdog MediaMatters listed Rodriguez in a compilation of Bill O'Reilly's enemies" or something similar, but we can't say, "O'Reilly listed Rodriguez on his enemies list," in Wikipedia's voice because this isn't technically true; he didn't actually publish any such list."

And this email from Wikipedia editor Robert Bruce:

"I apologize that the email response team can not make changes on request for all articles. Unfortunately, the limited number of volunteers involved cannot keep up with such requests due to the very large number of emails we receive daily.
"However, I invite you to suggest the changes on Wikipedia yourself. Wikipedia is a 'wiki', which means that everyone can edit pages. Because you have a conflict of interest, we don't recommend you editing the page directly, as per the following guidance page <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Conflict_of_interest>. Instead, you can start a discussion on the talk page by clicking "Talk" in the top left corner of the article and then "New section" to create a new discussion. You can include the text "{{edit request}}" (with curly brackets) at the top of your request to alert other editors that you've made a specific suggestion on something to be included in the article. We recommend that you are open about your conflict of interest when making your edit request.
"You can edit without logging in, although registering gives you more options and helps you keep track of your contributions, and will give you attribution to your selected username. You can create an account at <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:UserLogin/signup>.

" I apologize we aren't able to more directly add information to your page, but I hope this solution works for you. Please let me know if you have any further questions."

End of email notes ----

I am fine with using something along those lines, although the way it's worded above is unclear. I would prefer this phrasing: Progressive media watchdog group Media Matters for America cited a passage of Bill O'Reilly's book that references his enemies list. Cindy Rodriguez is one of the journalists listed.

This is the link in question and I would like it reinserted in the page: https://www.mediamatters.org/research/2006/09/22/bill-oreillys-enemies-list-available-in-hardbac/136701 If that link is not acceptable, you can use this: https://cindyerodriguez.com/2017/07/03/corrections-that-wikipedia-should-make/ It's a link to a post on my blog. I hope I'm a credible enough source. It includes a screengrab of a search for the term "open borders" and my name. I am NOT a proponent of open borders nor have I ever been influenced by George Soros.

I am Cindy E. Rodríguez, the person in question, and I can attest that he published a book that includes an Enemies List. I can fax copies of the pages or send a copy of the book to you. Please let me know how I can handle this. Thank you.
