Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, but a recent edit of yours has an edit summary that appears to be inaccurate or inappropriate. The summaries are helpful to people browsing an article's history, so it is important that you use edit summaries that accurately tell other editors what you did. Feel free to use the sandbox to make test edits. Thank you. Guliolopez (talk) 21:02, 18 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

Hi again. Please stop:
  • Misrepresenting content/image changes in edit summaries (Not everything is a "typo fix")
  • Re-adding a copyrighted logo to an article for which no fair-use rationale exists (Not every image can be used anywhere)
  • Mislabelling the contents of an image/frame (That is not the "Dublin Airport ATC Tower". It is a copyrighted logo)
If you need help, please ask. If you need practice, please use a sandbox. But please stop disruptively editing that article. Guliolopez (talk) 14:03, 19 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Nolan’sCarServiceCentre

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Nolan’sCarServiceCentre, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator.   Please do not use Wikipedia to promote businesses, like you did in the article Irish Car Rentals. Wikipedia is not a trade directory. If you want to list a company for potential customers to find, please consider alternative outlets. Thank you. DannyS712 (talk) 22:46, 22 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

Edits to Swords (Fingal / Dublin) article

edit

Hi! It is great to have willing hands in Wikipedia, so, to echo above, welcome! However, it is also important to respect the community aspect of the work, and the conventions, and if an edit is proving challenging, to enter into discussion on the article's Talk page. You have twice edited the lede (the initial paragraph(s)) of the Swords article, but the lede is only a summary of key points from the body of the article, and must present critical facts, and not background, or editorial / claims. For example, as I noted when I reverted your edits earlier today, Swords is not the capital of anything - the previous wording of county seat was fine (county town is also workable but not all county seats are towns). Then this relates to a county, not a county council. And Swords was a distinct town, not a village, pre-1990; I am well-familiar with it. Claimed "drive times" probably don't belong in the article at all, certainly not in the lede, and then, sorry, parts of the edit are also not well-written. I am reverting again, and please do not reintroduce these edits without discussion, and only if reflective of the body text. Thanks. SeoR (talk) 21:02, 1 September 2019 (UTC)Reply
