Unless you have a convincing explanation of how you came to know Jason Gastrich within less than a day of your first contribution, and why you decided to take his side in removing his archive against consensus, you will probably be blocked indefinitely without warning as yet another sockpuppet of him. --Malthusian (talk) 20:06, 9 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

Greetings, Mal. Unfortunately with Jason/Wiki4Christ recruiting from the general population, there are going to be folks who step into the situation knowing only Jason's side of the story. I'm hoping Chuck Hastings is in that category, and has simply innocently done what he thought was a good thing, not knowing the full "tail of woe." Justin Eiler 07:49, 10 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

Jason Gastrich talk archives edit

Greetings, Chuck,

Per WP:OWN, Jason does not "own" the talk page or archives related to his user page. When he blanked those pages, he removed not only his own writing, but writing posted by other people and licensed to Wikipedia. This is considered a form of vandalism, therefore Harvestdancer's actions were quite within Wikipedia policy.

Additionally, there is a current serious discussion of Jason's actions here at Wikipedia--said actions resulted from Jason's violation of a number of official Wikipedia policies, and the severity of his actions may warrant further sanctions if the behavior continues. The comments left on his talk page are part of the evidence that will be used to make future decisions if necessary, and removing that evidence would make a just decision much more difficult.

I do want to welcome you to Wikipedia, and to apologize if you feel like we've "bitten the newbie." Unfortunately, you've stepped into the middle of an ongoing situation, and nerves are a bit raw. Please contact me on my talk page and let me know if anyone's hastling you and if there's anything I can do to help. Justin Eiler 07:46, 10 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

So its been a few days since this user registered, defended Gastrich, was asked questions, and then stopped posting. Arbustoo 00:10, 12 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

Controversy and criticism section on SAB entry edit

Chuck,

See the talk page for the SAB entry. Your input has been requested, so that the article can be improved. --Jason Gastrich 01:29, 13 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

You are not fooling anyone. Arbustoo 01:57, 13 February 2006 (UTC)Reply
Thanks, Jason. --Chuck Hastings 06:37, 13 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

Guilty until proven innocent edit

By the way, I think it's very unfair that Arbustoo put a sockpuppet tag on your main page. I also think it's very unfair that FeloniousMonk added it, after I removed it, "pending check user results". FeloniousMonk apparently says you're guilty until proven innocent. I wonder if he'd like to be judged with the same standard. --Jason Gastrich 01:29, 13 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

The Hastings user page claimed his from Australia. I'm willing to bet his IP isn't an Australian one, but rather similiar to a Jason Gastrich IP. Arbustoo 02:00, 13 February 2006 (UTC)Reply
Don't be fooled by Gastrich's pretense to engage in "discussion" with a presumed sock. He's done that before. Pretenses to a greater level of support, a larger staff, even a "legal team," are fairly common tactics. As noted elsewhere, Gastrich has exhausted the presumption of good faith. He only has himself to blame, but he'll never do that, so it's going to be everyone else's fault. - WarriorScribe 02:02, 13 February 2006 (UTC)Reply
Just one of about 130 Gastrich puppets right now. Arbusto 22:59, 21 April 2006 (UTC)Reply
