I think this was a good attempt at consolidating the idea of slavery into one fluid description. My only question is whether this is a discussion of slavery as an idea or slavey as it occured in the Americas only. It seems pretty clear that you are only discussing issues that occured on American land, but perhaps that should be clarified in the lead section--that this is a discussion of slavery in the context of America. This article gave detailed descriptions of several aspects of slavery. I agree that "american slavery" should be clarified in the lead section. The lead section also deserves some type of heading. I was confused by the subsection of writing underneath your section on Nat Turner, there is a cut off sentence outlined in dotted lines. Also, I think that your last section on African American culture strays away from the point of the article. I would maybe try to focus on the affects of slavery as far as how they were detrimental and set back that particular group in society and how African Americans are combatting this set back today. This article shows a lot of research on the topic! Chlouie793 (talk) 16:32, 28 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

Your article was one that had a lot of information and is very difficult to outline. I think you did a very good job in staying on point, and bringing forth information from all aspects of the issue and not just focusing on one particular group or event. Also like that you covered background information that was valuable in helping understand the whole article. ("SosaGodfrey (talk) 01:31, 29 November 2011 (UTC)")Reply
