Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/CherryGirl22

edit

Hi CherryGirl22. I noticed you created a Requests for Adminship page some time ago; I was wondering as to what the status of that request might be. I think it's fair to warn you that new users are rarely successful at RfA and that the Wikipedia editing community sets very high standards for editors running for adminship. That being said, I strongly urge you to read Wikipedia:Guide to requests for adminship, User:Davidwr/Administration is not for new users, and Wikipedia:Not now, and ask you to reconsider whether you really do wish to go through with your candidacy; please understand that you stand very little to no chance of passing RfA at this point and that you are strongly discouraged from running for adminship. If you are still intent on running for adminship with that request and are absolutely positive this is what you want, please do let me know; otherwise, I'll go ahead and delete the RfA page for you in about a week or so from today. Non-free files in your user space

edit

Hey there CherryGirl22, thank you for your contributions. I am a bot, alerting you that non-free files are not allowed in user or talk space. I removed some files I found on User:CherryGirl22. In the future, please refrain from adding fair-use files to your user-space drafts or your talk page.

Re: RfA

If you want to go through with this request, you will need to transclude your RfA at WP:RFA by following the instructions at WP:RFA/N. However, I need to warn you that with only three days of experience and 21 edits, you will undoubtedly not pass per WP:NOTNOW. This isn't to say you won't ever be ready to succeed, but there is almost a definite chance you will fail right now. By comparison, when I ran for adminship in October, I had over 17,000 edits and over a year and half of experience. I strongly suggest you not run, and instead focus on editing and learning Wikipedia's policies. Of course you can still decide to ignore my advice and go through with the request, but please take my advice into consideration. Eagles 24/7 (C) 19:39, 27 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

To add on to Eagles' point here, I failed RfA after a year and three months of experience and over 20,000 edits, so like he mentioned, I would opt to wait until I had much more experience if I were in the same position as you. Also, looking at your RfA, you don't actually need adminship to do any of the things you wish to do with them, since you'll be able to do them without the tools. Either way, welcome to Wikipedia!--Giants27(T|C) 19:55, 27 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

Hey guys, thanks for the advice, but, I just opted to take part in it solely for the fact that I wanted to help Wikipedia in anyway possible, and perhaps becoming an admin would broaden my options. As to what Giants27 said, I'm aware of what you have mentioned, but like I said, I will clearly not be disturbed in any manner if I will not be voted. CherryGirl22| 19:13, 29 April 2011 (GMT)

So what is your decision, go through with the request or have me delete it for you? Eagles 24/7 (C) 19:29, 5 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

I'd rather go through with the request for now, Thank you. CherryGirl22| 12:34, 10 May 2011 (GMT)

Oi! I saw that! Dun't be changing other people msgs. Who needs names? talk the talk 07:08, 10 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

Hey, it was a mistake. I changed it back to the original, didn't I? chill CherryGirl22| 12:45, 10 May 2011 (GMT)

If you are still dead-set on running, please transclude your RfA at WP:RFA by following the instructions at WP:RFA/N. Again, please take my advice into consideration. Eagles 24/7 (C) 19:00, 10 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

Er...could you elaborate on what you want me to do again? CherryGirl22| 12:53, 11 May 2011 (GMT)

If you want users to !vote on your RfA, you will need to make known your intentions of running by adding your page to Wikipedia:Requests for adminship by following the instructions provided at Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Nominate. My advice to you is that you choose not to run, and in that case, I will delete the page for you. Eagles 24/7 (C) 19:07, 11 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

Didn't I already do that? Either ways, hold on..I give in, alright, Eagles 24/7 BUT, since you consider me inexperienced, you'll have to show me around. Sort of, be my WikiMentor, because truly enough I do need someone to help me around Wikipedia. If you agree to this condition, I guess I can permit you to delete the page for me. Well, what do you say? CherryGirl22| 16:35, 13 May 2011 (GMT)

You wrote "I'd rather go through with the request for now" above, which is why I got confused. Sure, I'll help you out around here. What would you like to do? Eagles 24/7 (C) 19:17, 13 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

Well, you can go ahead and delete the page now, i guess. Well, If anything complicated comes up, I'll be sure to ask for your help. CherryGirl22| 12:00, 15 May 2011 (GMT)
