Recent reversion
editHello! While I personally think your most recent edit that adds the link to the basset hound article is fine, you may wish to discuss the edit with VanTucky so that you avoid getting into an edit war and ending up blocked for 3RR. re:your question
editWikipedia is a reference work, not a promotional guide. Not only are directories of links forbidden by our external linking policies, but the links to rescues do not provide any additional necessary information about basset hounds. You may want to read WP:EL to get a more detailed run-down of the guidelines for links. VanTucky Talk 23:24, 22 September 2007 (UTC)
Image copyright problem with Image:Baby emma card 4x3.jpg
editThank you for uploading Image:Baby emma card 4x3.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI 22:44, 22 September 2007 (UTC)
User name policy
editOn Wikipedia there are a few policies surrounding what is and is not permissible in your user name. For example: names which exactly match that of a company, website or organization are prohibited as being promotional, especially when there is an admitted conflict of interest. From your userpage, I take it you may be affiliated with the website bassethoundtown.com. This is not to suggest your contributions are out of line or unwanted, but I wonder if you might consider a change of name? VanTucky Talk 23:29, 22 September 2007 (UTC)
Speedy deletion of Image:Chap's Poster.jpg
editA tag has been placed on Image:Chap's Poster.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I2 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an image page for a missing or corrupt image or an empty image description page for a Commons-hosted image.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on [[ Talk:Image:Chap's Poster.jpg|the talk page]] explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
