Burette

edit

You are drafting revisions (>= 500 bytes) to an existing article in your sandbox by Friday 26th May. In order to do so, you have to thoroughly read the existing article and plan your revisions in your sandbox. It is easiest to start with only an addition of content. However, you may copy the existing article to your sandbox to test your edit if you plan a complicated copyedit. Please pay attention to Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Chemistry and learn from similar articles. Make sure that you article has an encyclopedic tone. Feel free to ask if you need any help. --Taweetham (talk) 04:00, 20 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

Please revise your draft as discussed during the meetup. --Taweetham (talk) 10:40, 25 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

By Friday the 2nd of June, you should make your writing public on the article namespace. You can copy your draft from sanndbox into the target article. Please make sure to provide sensible edit summary for your change. You may may several edits - one section at a time - to reduce possible mistakes. --Taweetham (talk) 00:53, 27 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

Please continue your work on the article. There are a few points to improve.

  1. reorganize the content of the article to be more encyclopedic and more informative
    • Your current edits are not likely to survive. Please make sure you cite your source properly and add only encyclopedic content.
  2. replace lower quality image with a high quality image.

Please complete these by Friday the 9th of June. --Taweetham (talk) 06:43, 3 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

Please edit the article as recommended above by Friday the 9th of June. --Taweetham (talk) 05:26, 9 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

The Wikipedia community and our university take plagiarism case seriously. This should be the most important priority for you to fix as soon as possible.

Please refer to the work to be done this week on the course page. Specific comments for the article are

  1. Your writing must have encyclopedia, properly formatted and grammatically correct. I have fixed a few problems for you as examples. Please study them carefully.
  2. You should try to improve the quality of your upload at Wikimedia commons by retouching the photos and upload to the same file name.

I uploaded with URL and author name through Wikipedia upload so I thought it could possibly done that way because I cited it in but it turned out that I can't do that too. Sorry I am not intended to plagiarism at all. Also, encyclopedia format means no bullet point, right? I thought it would be easier to read for the readers if there are some bullet points Chanunchida.suthi (talk) 08:24, 10 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

  1. Copyright & plagiarism is part of your compulsory online training in the first week.
  2. Encyclopaedic style is more than just a matter of bullet point. The purpose of the article is to give information but not instruction.

I hope this clarification helps you move on successfully with the assignment. --Taweetham (talk) 09:09, 10 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

Material you included in the above article appears to have been copied from the copyright web page http://www.creative-chemistry.org.uk/alevel/module1/documents/N-ch1-23.pdf. Copying text directly from a source is a copyright violation. Unfortunately, for copyright reasons, the content had to be removed. Regardless of the copyright issue, Wikipedia is not a how-to guide or instruction manual, and this is not normally the kind of content we include. Please leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 13:30, 3 June 2017 (UTC)Reply
