The changes are not sweeping the intro as it stans is in fact biased in favour of Saddam Hussein

rising star?

edit

Don't you think stating Saddam was a "rising star" is POV? Isn't the word "leader" much more neutral, especially considering this is the first sentence in the article? zen master T 19:31, 24 Mar 2005 (UTC)

The phrase is POV in the presence of a more neutral term like "leader". Also, a historical biographical article should not be written using action words and phrases and the tense should indicate the past rather than indicate in the present tense Saddam rising as a star. The biggest problem is "star", perhaps "Worked his way up to be leader" or something like that is more NPOV? zen master T 23:27, 24 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Please explain why you should not be blocked for 3RR violations, as User:62.252.192.12 just was. --jpgordon∇∆∇∆ 03:05, 25 Mar 2005 (UTC)

  • Perhaps you might voluntarily agree to a 24-hr block in the name of fairness. Next time you find yourself in this position, it would be better to seek some help from a third party -- otherwise, it's just you and him and it gets noisy and stupid real fast. --jpgordon∇∆∇∆ 03:12, 25 Mar 2005 (UTC)
