Welcome!

Hello, Cghobbs, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome!

I also saw that one of the articles you edited was Mirambo. As you may have noticed, Wikipedia is always in need of more Africa editors. I don't know if this is a continued area of interest for you, but if it is, here's some other links that you may want to check out:

Good luck, and happy editing! If you ever have any questions, feel free to leave a note on my talk page; lots of folks helped me when I first got here and I'm always glad to pay it forward! --Dvyost 04:49, 15 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

PS Two minor requests for Mirambo--first, can you add a reference? (see WP:CITE for how we try to work this). Second, can you give a little more context for the amateur user (i.e., in what is today Tanzania)? Thanks again for putting it up, and nice job figuring out how to work the stub tags! From your user page it looks like you're going to be great at this--I hope I'll see your name around again soon...

Nongqawuse edit

While I'm glad to see Wikipedians working on African topics, you might save yourself some duplication of effort before-hand by searching to find whether an article already exists. You're more likely to find it if you check the spelling of the person's name, but it's a good idea to search for alternative spellings anyway (there's one without a w in this case). On the other hand, I'd be delighted if you contributed to Nongqawuse, since it still has potential to grow, and even become an FA (in my opinion). --대조 | Talk 09:37, 4 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
