Speedy deletion nomination of User:Celebrity Watch

edit

A tag has been placed on your user page, User:Celebrity Watch, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be advertising which only promotes or publicises someone or something. Promotional editing of any kind is not permitted, whether it be promotion of a person, company, product, group, service, belief, or anything else. This is a violation of our policies regarding acceptable use of user pages — user pages are intended for active editors of Wikipedia to communicate with one another as part of the process of creating encyclopedic content, and should not be mistaken for free webhosting resources or advertising space. Please read the guidelines on spam, the guidelines on user pages, and, especially, our FAQ for Organizations.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. \\\Septrillion:- ~~‭~~10Eleventeen 14:55, 2 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

Contested deletion

edit

This page is not unambiguously promotional, because... (your reason here) --Celebrity Watch (talk) 15:05, 2 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

I am contesting this deletion as this is a genuine write up of a lady that has been in the public eye for the last 5 years and we have copied the information from various sources found on the Internet which can be easily verifiable.

If you wish us to remove her website URL or edit any of the information on the article then we would be more than happy to do this.

This is our first article and, as you can imagine, we were quite disappointed to have it rejected.

We look forward to hearing back from you.

Kind regards, Celebrity Watch Team

Your account has been blocked from editing Wikipedia with this username. This is because your username, Celebrity Watch, does not meet our username policy.
Your username is the only reason for this block. You are welcome to choose a new username (see below) and continue editing.
A username should not be promotional, related to a "real-world" group or organization, misleading, offensive or disruptive. Also, usernames may not end in the word "bot" unless the account is an approved bot account.
You are encouraged to choose a new account name that meets our policy guidelines and create the account yourself. Alternatively, if you have already made edits and you wish to keep your existing contributions under a new name, then you may request a change in username by:
  1. Adding {{unblock-un|your new username here}} below. You should be able to do this even though you are blocked, as you can usually still edit your own talk page. If not, you may wish to contact the blocking administrator by clicking on "Email this user" on their talk page.
  2. At an administrator's discretion, you may be unblocked for 24 hours to file a request.
  3. Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use, so please check here for a listing of already taken names. The account is created upon acceptance, thus do not try to create the new account before making the request for a name change. For more information, please see Wikipedia:Changing username.
If you think that you were blocked in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below this notice, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first. Jauerbackdude?/dude. 15:39, 2 July 2018 (UTC)Reply
