Cctss88 (talk) 17:36, 22 March 2012 (UTC) Hey Guys, I've added the banner in the talk page of the article - ShaaliniReply

Lolcat999 (talk) 17:48, 22 March 2012 (UTC) Hey guys, don't forget to write something briefly in the sandbox so we can see it's been created. -- RachelMReply

Cctss88 (talk) 00:34, 25 March 2012 (UTC) Hey guys, I've done some research and found that there are 3 subtopics for OT. I'll split up the sections:Reply

Introduction - Shaalini

1) Classical Perspective - Shaalini

1.1) Scientific Management

1.2) Bureaucracy Theory

2) Neoclassic Perspectives: Hawthorne Studies - Fatima

3) Environmental Perpective: Contingency Theory - Lexi

Sorry, but I guess I never noticed that this topic would be a bit...abstract. Research as much as you can, and we can always edit each other's parts or answer any questions as we go along:) I'll add the citation to this information in a bit - Shaalini

Cctss88 (talk) 00:37, 25 March 2012 (UTC) I see that both of your user pages do not exist. I think you have to say something in your user page to make the link work. - ShaaliniReply

Cctss88 (talk) 00:48, 25 March 2012 (UTC) I've taken a screenshot of the original article before any edits - ShaaliniReply

Lexi Wayne (talk) 04:08, 25 March 2012 (UTC) That's okay if its a bit abstract, it's an interesting topic. I will begin my research right awayReply

CCTKH24 (talk) Hey, the post I made before did not work I guess, and yeah it's fine if the topic is abstract..like you said we can always edit the work at the end. —Preceding undated comment added 17:58, 25 March 2012 (UTC).

Cctss88 (talk) 23:06, 25 March 2012 (UTC) Hey guys, I looked around and found that there are already individual wikipedia articles on some of the topics, like contingency theory and scientific management. What we can do though, is write a brief description and then referance the main article like what they did in this article Organizational behavior - ShaaliniReply

Lexi Wayne (talk) 00:42, 26 March 2012 (UTC) Yes i have also noticed that there are wiki articles concerning the contingency theory. I will do a brief description and add other info i got.Reply

Cctss88 (talk) 17:19, 26 March 2012 (UTC) Sounds good! - ShaaliniReply

Cctss88 (talk) 12:21, 27 March 2012 (UTC) Hey guys, how is the researching and writing going? I just have a quick question. Does any of you know how to create a content box that appears in most wikipedia articles?Reply

Cctss88 (talk) 14:22, 27 March 2012 (UTC) Nevermind, the content box appears automatically - ShaaliniReply

Lexi Wayne (talk) 14:53, 27 March 2012 (UTC) Hey, my research is going good so far, im just having minor problems with my citations..Reply

Cctss88 (talk) 17:22, 27 March 2012 (UTC) Oh what problems are you facing, Lexi? I think I have a grasp on the citations and can help you out. - ShaaliniReply

Lexi Wayne (talk) 18:07, 27 March 2012 (UTC) I have added quite a bit of information to the Contingency Theory part of the article, you guys can check it out and make changes if necessary. Shaalini i did put in the citation but i'm not sure if it's correct . I believe if u click the link it will go straight to the website where i got it from..if you can fix the citation that would be great!Reply

Cctss88 (talk) 23:31, 27 March 2012 (UTC) Hey Lexi, the info looks great! And I'll help out with the citation :)Reply

Lexi Wayne (talk) 00:08, 28 March 2012 (UTC) ok thanksReply

Cctss88 (talk) 00:15, 28 March 2012 (UTC) Hey guys, I've fixed the citation. For future referance, whether it is for books or websites, look at the intext citations already done. I have some citations that you could use as examples when you work on your citations. In addition, Lexi, I'm assuming you're done your part? So you can work on editing the parts according to what we will be graded on. I am working on my part and will finish soon - ShaaliniReply

Cctss88 (talk) 00:18, 28 March 2012 (UTC) Wikipedia contributions will be graded according to the following parameters:Reply

1.Quality of the research and writing in the edits made

2.Mechanics (e.g. spelling, grammar, diction, etc.)

3.Understanding of Wikipedia policies and best practices

4.Understanding of the rhetorical approach appropriate for Wikipedia

5.Professionalism and teamwork in the writing process

These criteria will be weighted equally in grading. Watch out for these guys. So keep in mind our "business readers" when reading/editing :) - Shaalini

Cctss88 (talk) 00:30, 28 March 2012 (UTC) BTW, Lexi, I was wondering why factors were placed in brackets? And Fatima, how is the research coming along? - ShaaliniReply

Cctss88 (talk) 00:41, 28 March 2012 (UTC)Hey guys, sorry to be bombarding you with information and requests, but I have a few more (sorry). So the professor says that she grades the richness of the article based on the links, cites, etc. So if possible, can you look to see if there are some terms you can link to other wiki articles? Look at what I've already done as examples and take it from there. Thanks! - ShaaliniReply

Lexi Wayne (talk) 00:52, 28 March 2012 (UTC) Ok i will start editing based on the following criterias given to us. Oh and the word 'factors' is in brackets because it comes like another way of saying 'constraints' So i guess both words can be used interchangeably. I will also see if i can make the links like you have done to the other articles..Reply

Cctss88 (talk) 01:09, 28 March 2012 (UTC) Yay, sounds great :D - ShaaliniReply

Cctss88 (talk) 03:16, 28 March 2012 (UTC) Hey guys, I've now completed my part :) So I will begin editing and making it look nice tomorrow :) -ShaaliniReply

CCTKH24 (talk) Hey guys, so sorry but for some reason I was having trouble with accessing this page. Thank you Shaalini for the help! I have found some great links on the NeoClassic period and will add the information tomorrow and Shaalini it would be great if you could help me with citations as well :P — Preceding unsigned comment added by CCTKH24 (talkcontribs) 03:46, 28 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

Cctss88 (talk) 03:50, 28 March 2012 (UTC) Yay, it works! And yeah, I'll help with the citations or any other things you guys need help with :D - ShaaliniReply

Lexi Wayne (talk) 13:17, 28 March 2012 (UTC)okay everything sounds great :)Reply

CCTKH24 (talk) Hey guys I added my part on the user page, I've done the citation for one of the links but I'm not sure if it's right. I'm not sure how to do the citation for the other one though. Are we supposed to include the links on the citation because I did not use any wikipedia sites for this. Let me know if I need more information and If there's anything else you guys need. :) —Preceding undated comment added 20:12, 28 March 2012 (UTC).

CCTKH24 (talk) Hey guys the information looks great, I just read over it. :) —Preceding undated comment added 20:49, 28 March 2012 (UTC).Reply

Lexi Wayne (talk) 23:25, 28 March 2012 (UTC) Fatima your info is great!! Right now we're just editing based on the criterias given to us. So you can do that as well, but i think we're good so far.Reply

CCTKH24 (talk) Thanks Lexi!! :) and sounds good! —Preceding undated comment added 23:30, 28 March 2012 (UTC).Reply

Cctss88 (talk) 23:41, 28 March 2012 (UTC) Hey guys, I'm free to start editing. Fatima, the information looks great! And great touch with the critical view. I see what you meant by the citation problem. Are citations 7, 8, 9 from the same source? If so, I can change it to make them all one citation.Reply

Cctss88 (talk) 23:53, 28 March 2012 (UTC) Fatima, I just have a quick question. Other than the quotations, what site did you use to get the information for the critical view? I think we may need a citation on the end of it. And Lexi, do you think you can shift your part around so that there are not too many bullet points? Sorry to be asking so late, but if you need help I can work on fixing that. - ShaaliniReply

Lexi Wayne (talk) 00:45, 29 March 2012 (UTC) Yea ok no prob..Reply

Lexi Wayne (talk) 00:51, 29 March 2012 (UTC) Shaalini i can turn some of the bullet points into full sentences, would that be better?Reply

Lexi Wayne (talk) 01:19, 29 March 2012 (UTC) I changed the bullet points under the contingency theory on the organization to sentences. You can check it, maybe you may find a way to better structure the sentences but that's what i came up with.Reply

Cctss88 (talk) 01:53, 29 March 2012 (UTC) Hey, that looks great Lexi! Thanks! :)Reply

CCTKH24 (talk) Hey shaalini, lol yes 7,8,and 9 are from the same citation and I used the same site to get the critical view...the site for 7,8 and 9, I was thinking the same thing but I wasn't sure because I didn't use a quotation from the site, I just reworded everything. I'm so happy we are pretty much done everything...no last minute things before the due date. Great Job Guys :D —Preceding undated comment added 02:10, 29 March 2012 (UTC).

Lexi Wayne (talk) 02:29, 29 March 2012 (UTC)yay!!Reply

CCTKH24 (talk) Hey quick question, you know where it says "main article: Neoclassical perspective", it's highlighted in red and I noticed that when I clicked on the links you guys made, it redirected to the wiki page, but since I used a different site, do I still need to have it there?? :S —Preceding undated comment added 02:35, 29 March 2012 (UTC).

Lexi Wayne (talk) 02:40, 29 March 2012 (UTC) no you don't need to have it there.it's highlighted in red because there is no article in which it can be linked but that's fine. you can remove it from the square brackets so it would not appear in red.Reply

CCTKH24 (talk) OKay I changed it..Thankyou!! :) —Preceding undated comment added 02:48, 29 March 2012 (UTC).Reply

Cctss88 (talk) 02:59, 29 March 2012 (UTC) Cctss88 (talk) 02:59, 29 March 2012 (UTC) I agree, we're pretty much done, just a quick review is needed. So like the TA said, we should have everyone just look over everything and say that they checked over everything for the final editReply

Lexi Wayne (talk) 03:11, 29 March 2012 (UTC) Yes okay.Reply

Cctss88 (talk) 03:45, 29 March 2012 (UTC) Hey guys, so I've looked over everything and had to fix the headings of some sections so that it would show up properly on the content box. I think we did a great job, and I'll probably do another edit tomorrow morning before I put the report together. Which reminds me, are we just supposed to just hand in and email picture of the article (before and after) and the talk page? And can everyone send over their student numbers to my email so that I could include it in the title page of the report? Thanks!Reply

CCTKH24 (talk) sounds great Shaalini, I'm reading over it right now as well, and I think so I'm not sure but let me check. I'll e-mail my student number to you now. —Preceding undated comment added 03:56, 29 March 2012 (UTC).

Lexi Wayne (talk) 04:12, 29 March 2012 (UTC) OK, i checked the power point slide and this is what we have to do.. Students will hand in to their tutorial leader hard copies of screenshots of the state of the chosen article "before" and "after" the edits, as well as a copy of the sandbox and relevant talk pages (i.e. the talk page for the sandbox and the chosen article). Only one group member should make this submission, and a cover page should be attached that indicates: the group name, the tutorial section, the topic, each group member's username, and each group member's real name and student number.Reply

Cctss88 (talk) 04:18, 29 March 2012 (UTC) Thank you Lexi, that's perfect! And thanks guys, I've recieved your student numbers!Reply

Lexi Wayne (talk) 04:26, 29 March 2012 (UTC) ok :) and I gave a final check and everything looks good..Reply

CCTKH24 (talk) sounds good! and yes, everything looks good to me as well :) —Preceding undated comment added 04:29, 29 March 2012 (UTC).Reply

CCTKH24 (talk) Hey guys, I read everything again and I am done editing. Everything looks good to me :)We can go over everything tomorrow as a group to ensure we have everything before submitting the assignment. —Preceding undated comment added 06:13, 29 March 2012 (UTC).

Cctss88 (talk) 14:15, 29 March 2012 (UTC) Hey Lexi, we're not supposed to edit together as a group, so what you've edited by yourselves is perfect. I'll just do a final check and make the report. - ShaaliniReply

Cctss88 (talk) 14:49, 29 March 2012 (UTC) Hey guys, I was looking around other wikipedia articles and noticed that they have a "see also" section. I've decided to add one to this article as well to hopefully add to the richness of the content :)Reply

CCTKH24 (talk) Alright, that sounds great I've edited and looked over it! and That's a great idea Shaalini, good thing you did that! —Preceding undated comment added 15:52, 29 March 2012 (UTC).

Lexi Wayne (talk) 16:06, 29 March 2012 (UTC) Yea, that's good..Reply

Cctss88 (talk) 16:35, 29 March 2012 (UTC) OK, I have finished editing the article. I added a critism to the Contingency Theory and Classical Perpective like Fatima did, just so there's some consistency and critical thinking (thanks for that idea, Fatima!) in the article. So, great job guys!! I think it looks awesome. The writing seems appropriate for the audience, and there are no spelling or grammar issues from what I can see. Good job :) I'll create the report and send it both the TA and yourselves so that you are aware of what I am sending. - ShaaliniReply

Cctss88 (talk) 16:44, 29 March 2012 (UTC) OK, I've added our information from our sandbox page into the actual article. So yay, it's official! Good job guys, and thanks! - ShaaliniReply
