I have received permission from the author to use the picture and uploaded the image again in higher resolution on a separate page with updated copyright information. I would like to delete the old page, but do not know how. Cawmaster 12:41, 20 May 2009

Orphaned non-free media (File:Boota.jpg)

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Boota.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:11, 12 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Topsy

edit

Hi, leaving this on your talk page because its about editing, not Topsy per say. You are kinda missing WP:CCPOL, that's a biggie (and not my opinion btw):

  • "I saw a TV show and it was all about Topsy (and here is an episode citation as proof I actually saw it)" is non-encyclopedic content and considered WP:OR in Wikipedia.
  • "Topsy is often repeated through many media outlets as a meme or some other phenomenon (and here are 2 magazine articles and a book citation on the topic)" is encyclopedic content.

I am not saying the latter does not exist, it may and could be a good expansion to the article. Fountains of Bryn Mawr (talk) 13:56, 10 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

After rewriting the article I concluded I missed at least one point, Bob's Burgers/Topsy would be a "See also" at the very least because, as you say, "wikipedia page on" (Topsy) does exist and I for one am not challenging its existence. Inserted back in prose style. Fountains of Bryn Mawr (talk) 22:46, 11 October 2014 (UTC)Reply
Now that Bob's Burgers has had 11 more seasons and a movie, is it culturally relevant enough now to be included in the page or have you had a stick up your ass for the last decade? Cawmaster (talk) 08:58, 7 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm Waxworker. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Kari Wahlgren, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Waxworker (talk) 11:03, 17 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
