The source was alredy there and it's the one used for all GDP ranks in Wikipedia.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_GDP_%28nominal%29?wprov=sfla1 Clicking on the rank you get redirected on this page. According to this source in 2021 Iran ranks 17th for nominal GDP. (the ranks on the article are for 2020, but it clearly indicates that Iran GDP of 2021 is ahed of the Netherlands). Your changes to Mohammad Mosaddegh

edit

I've partially reverted your changes:

  • There are many sources which state that MI6 and the CIA "planned", "plotted", or "orchestrated" the coup. This is even noted in declassified documents. [1] [2] for a couple.
  • You put a CN at "were specifically written as dictated by Donald Wilber". The source quotes Roosevelt as saying "We dictated in the course of that afternoon [...]", but doesn't expressly name Wilber. So, I've adjusted that to "were written as dictated by Roosevelt's team".

@Peepeepedia The CIA wasn't even aware of the fact that the coup was happening (document 273 and 278 of the declassified archived), hence it's simply an overstatement saying it was orchestrated by it.
They played a very important role, mainly by convincing the Shah, but it's incorrect to state it was solely organized by them.
It's more of a political statement and should be avoided.
The "dictated" doesn't refer to the firmans in the document cited as a source, the firmans were alredy issued by the Shah on the 13th of August and there is no mention they were dictated by CIA officials.
That "dictated" refers to "Now we then started immediately to prepare a statement for Zahedi to the press and public of Iran" just a line before, not to the firmans.
I therefore have to change it back, especially for the "dictated" part, which simply does not refer to those firmans.
Thanks either way it was helpful to see in the document where they actually used the word "dictated". Castagna98 (talk) 19:03, 17 November 2022 (UTC)Reply
