The article would benefit from a lead paragraph that begins something like "Mazatlán Mazatec (Spanish Mazateca de Mazatlán) is a Mazatecan language spoken in the state of Oaxaca in south-western Mexico, in the town of Mazatlán Villa de Flores..." and proceeds like that before getting into the nitty-gritty details. It should be encyclopedic (just the facts, very basic, not assuming any knowledge on the part of the reader), and some of the information you give in the lead will probably be repeated below it, so only use the most important, relevant information.
