I don't want alter the page content-With ever changing information and the volume of intricacies in this field,I expect misconceptions,as with many things when different observers look at the same thing.(difficult to be objective sometimes)I forget some things I have seen until I see them again,since they may not seem highly important when I do see them.My referenc here is to the orb spider.They inhabit the environment of my mobile home in warm weather.I noticed one in particular on the screen of my front door.It was on the outside of the screen,so that I could see it's abdomen clearly.It may be another particular variety of the type.It has what I saw as a perfect replica of a certan type of bee's face on it's abdomen.The function is obvious.Under some circumstances this is all the bee see's as it hovers close to the web.If it gets too close,the slightest errant movement can result in entrapment.I wil have to look again in warm weather.but the one I saw had two or four less spot markings than the first orb spider pictured under that heading.In any case,it's markings appeared identical to bee's I had in my mail box.So,that is the very small universe of the insect.One thing on the cobweb.It is called so because it is geometrically formed in resemblance to the flat end of a broken or sliced corn cob.Some people may find these observations tiresome.(and they can be)But I enjoy discovery,especially when a small,simple item can answer many large,complicated questions.(principle)Personal preference-If I had named the spider,I would have suggested Mask spider-or Mirror Me-just for variety-Carl helsing 19:16, 11 December 2005 (UTC)
