Batman

Please stop adding that poster, that is a fanmade poster and not the official poster. There currently is no poster for this film (they are still making it).  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 01:36, 23 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

No one is offended. It's just that we've had people add it before. No one has reported it as official, let me explain...no major media outline has posted verifiable evidence that is the official poster. It's even less in favor since it doesn't appear on the website.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 01:50, 23 June 2007 (UTC)Reply
Ledger's website isn't even an official website. It's a fansite, as he doesn't post anything there. I couldn't find anything on what was supposed to be considered his "official" site by some, that actually stated that it was "official". I think it's the most popular website, but not one he has anything to do with. Whenever you come across film posters, or film information, or any information at all, always look at the submitter. SuperHeroHype usually has a good report about listing what's official as official, and listing everything else as "scooper". Always look for things that say "Warner Brothers has officiall announced, released, etc.." or "Christopher Nolan specifically said ...". Look for those things, because generally you'll find "a reliable scooper said ...", which doesn't actually meed reliability criteria or verifiability criteria either. I've read things like "A studio exec, who wants to remain anonymous..." Yeah, that wouldn't fly, because we cannot attribute a name to the info, and they won't falsly attribute a name because of lawsuit. So always be wary of what you read. Sometimes, it's best to take things to the talk pages to see what others think.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 02:03, 23 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Edmonton meetup

edit

Hello - I'm contacting you with this message because you have listed yourself in Category:Wikipedians in Edmonton - if you are not actually in Edmonton, I apologize for bothering you; unfortunately, the sort of spamming I'm doing isn't conducive to reading everybody's userpages thoroughly. I am investigating the possibility of creating a Wikipedia meetup in Edmonton for sometime during the spring or summer of 2008. If you're interested, please visit Wikipedia:Meetup/Edmonton, add yourself to the list of interested editors, and watchlist the page. Cheers, Sarcasticidealist (talk) 00:02, 28 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
