Wikipedia:Requests for mediation/Kolo (dance)

edit

Good evening. Regarding the above request for mediation, please be aware that I have emptied the section on that page that previously contained your lenghty statement. Regretfully, rfm is not the place for such statements. You need to provide brief issues, links to prior attempts at resolving the dispute, and a list of parties involved.

I have rejected your case as this time, as being malformatted, and due to insufficient attempts at prior dispute resolution. I'd encourage you to request informal mediation using the instructions here. I know this may seem confusing, but formal mediation generally is very elaborate :) If there is a dispute amongst editors over content, please seek dispute resolution.

responded re Shen Yun

edit

Hi Cantabo, thanks for the note. I responded on the talk page according to my understanding. Hopefully the issue can be resolved without too much drama. Appreciate your time.--Asdfg12345 08:00, 24 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Since here's already a heading I will add my comment too. I don't think we should rely the official website for these self-promoting descriptions. Most of it are bad weasel-word ridden texts ("niveau"? This is not French) with a huge POV towards the show. I will revert it as it does not add quality to the article, but merely make it more convoluted and out of place. --antilivedT | C | G 06:02, 25 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

my source of the article wasn't the shen yun webiste but a programm book of the world tour 2009 I attended to here in Vienna. I tried to write the article as objective as possbile on the basis of this book. I know that the website of shen yun isn't objective at all, of course, but I tried to make it objective on the basis of this book. The word "niveau" is derived from the french language and is well used in german language. I didn't not that it isn't common to use this word in english. However the problems with the shen yun article are very nerving, frustrating and discouraging. If there won't be any motion, let say within two months, the article should be deleted, that's my personal opinion. I don't know if it was really necessary to undo the article. You could change the article to a better one. If you can, please do it. I think we agree that the status quo of the article isn't very gratifying. Nice greetings.
