Speedy deletion nomination of The Islands Of Nifnorb And Orrut

edit

Please refrain from introducing inappropriate pages, such as The Islands Of Nifnorb And Orrut, to Wikipedia. Doing so is not in accordance with our policies. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. As reviewing admin, I had to delete this. Wikipedia is not a place for original creative work, but an encyclopedia. The material in it has to be about actual things that exist. You wrote on the article talk page "I created this for a school project. I had to create a country and write an article on it. I'm not done, it will be better. However, i will delete it when the assignment is complete. Please don't delete this. I really need it to get an A. Thanks in advance" . If your teacher actually gave you this assignment, to put it on Wikipedia , we would very much like to explain things to him or her. Please urge your teacher to get in touch with me, by email from my talk page, or by leaving a message there. Surely you would not have been given the assignment to go down to the printed encyclopedia in the library and insert a page of imaginary information. The same goes here. Even more so: what would be pasted in the print encyclopedia affects only your school; what is put here will be visible to the entire internet, and millions of people use this site to find what they hope and expect will be verifiable reference information.
