Help Me Question

edit

The Jacob's Pillow has been marked for reading like an advertisement, I would like to fix that, becuase I know that I was able to use it as a good reference for a College class article I wrote. So what would need to change to make it not marked.

It reads a little too positive (if that makes sense). It needs to be more neutral. GtstrickyTalk or C 15:03, 23 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

{{helpme}} After editing the page, how would I know if it no longer read like and advertisement?

Compare it to other articles on Wikipedia. Is it neutral? Does it use any excessive adjectives? You can also always ask any other editor to look it over. roux ] [x] 17:16, 23 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Opinion

edit

I've seen a lot worse articles. However, The intro goes straight from a Landmark to an unnamed organisation - or does it?. To me, a Landmark is a thing you navigate by, or a metaphorical equivalent. As used by the US Government, the English language isn't what we speak in the UK..... (Personal opinion: I hate Mission Statements from anything that isn't a Mission....)

All in all, looks a darn sight more neutral than many I've seen. And I see you put right the so-called Grammatical Error that someone corrected for you - wrongly. I'm a nit-picker, and I've not spotted anything to change or improve. Peridon (talk) 20:01, 23 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Saving

edit

If you've done an edit, use Preview as Mr. SvMvP says. Then when you've finished that section (or the page if you're working on the whole page), Save or you'll lose the work. Peridon (talk) 20:05, 23 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Jacob's Pillow

edit

I've taken the tag off - and said why. If you look in History at the article you'll see what I've said. Actually, anyone can remove a tag - and anyone can put one on. If there is a dispute, it's usual to discuss it on the Talk page, but this is so old (by Wikipedia standards) and so much has been done, I've just gone ahead. Someone may put it back. If they do, let me know and we'll set up a discussion. Meanwhile, Peridon's Pillow is going to see some use. 14 hour day, and I'm out at 5.30 am again...
