I was blocked in 2009 for vandalizing articles and other users, but I've matured a lot since then and would love to get back into the community. I made a new account today (cainjamin) but then realized I had an old account forgetting it was blocked; I didn't intend to sockpuppet. I've made many productive edits in the past and would continue to do so exclusively if I get unblocked.

@Acroterion: You are the blocking admin. This user was blocked more than eight years ago. It's very likely they've matured substantially since then. Given the length of time involved here, I'm inclined to just lift the block. Obviously it can be reimposed if they start vandalising again.
