The three-revert rule edit

Bulgaroon, can I suggest you read the following link WP:3RR This is a fundamental Wikipedia policy that you appear not be familiar with. Not following this can result in editing privileges being suspended or removed for repeated disregard of this rule. Regards - Galloglass 14:49, 12 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

You now appear have broken this rule a fourth time. Can I suggest you revert your own edit and take this dispute to the talk page to create a new consensus as I have requested. Regards - Galloglass 14:52, 12 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

Galloglass, I've not broken this rule, and I have engaged with the talk page and proposed a resolution. bulgaroon 15:57, 12 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

You have clearly made 4 revision edits in the last day, this breaches the policy. You need to revert your last edit or I will unwillingly be forced to seek admin intervention. Regards - Galloglass 15:03, 12 October 2017 (UTC)Reply
I've made two edits today and one yesterday. This does not breach the policy. As mentioned, I have offered a solution to this edit war. Admin intervention is unnecessary, and threats like this are generally discouraged on the edit war article as they are not often very constructive when it comes to creating a solution. Solutions are about compromise. bulgaroon 16:06, 12 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

October 2017 edit

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be repeatedly reverting or undoing other editors' contributions at Lancashire County Council election, 2017. Although this may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is known as "edit warring" and is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, as it often creates animosity between editors. Instead of reverting, please discuss the situation with the editor(s) involved and try to reach a consensus on the talk page.

If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to be blocked from editing Wikipedia. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, and violating the three-revert rule is very likely to lead to a block.

This slow motion edit war needs to stop. Also be aware that 3RR is a bright red line but it is not the sole definition of edit warring. Persistent reverting, even if timed to avoid the 24 hr rule is still considered a specie of disruptive editing. Take this to the talk page. See also WP:DR for additional suggestions. Thank you.
