Football/soccer
editYou may not be aware, but the round ball game is known as soccer in more places than just the United States. A look at WP:NCFA will tell you the story for my country. HiLo48 (talk) 03:25, 20 January 2020 (UTC)
- Please understand that this is an American website and that educators such as myself use this as a resource to teach our children. It is perfectly relevant that kids realize that soccer is actually called football in most of the world.
- While it's an American website, its goal is to be a global encyclopaedia. And this article is about ALL forms of football, not just soccer. In the US, you have a game called football. It's gridiron, not soccer. Similarly in Australia, although it's even messier here. The lead of the article already mentions some of the different sports called football around the world. - "Soccer" redirects to this site. Based on what you say, that is incorrect.

- Cool. Can't explain that. Now, some tips. I'm sure you've noticed that I have been indenting your posts. I do that by use of the colons you can see when you edit, at the start of each post. It's standard practice to indent Talk page conversations that way. Also, it's important to sign your posts, and you do that by typing four tildes (~~~~) Good luck.
