The portion of the article you did on the legacy and style of Overkill is very well written. You gave a lot of relevant information on both, but I would maybe even try to split them into two sections if possible. If not, it's fine because I can see how the two sections are very intertwined with each other, making it hard to differentiate the two. There are a few things I noticed you could elaborate on. When you say "Overkill is one of the oldest thrash bands performing today," exactly how old are they? If it says it somewhere else in the article, it doesn't hurt to mention it again. Also, I know this was cited, but when you wrote "Today, Overkill is viewed as one of the most important thrash bands from the East Coast," you should probably mention exactly who views them as the most important thrash band from the east coast otherwise it could be considered biased information. Another minor thing to add would be more examples of today's new-wave thrash bands and older bands at the end of the paragraph. Overall, great job!

Thank you for your feedback! I am reluctant to split the two sections because of their length; I searched for days and scoured website after website and this was all the information I could find on these subjects. I think that because they are short sections, I will probably leave them as one portion of the article. The article does mention in the introduction the date the band was formed, which is why I did not reiterate it. I did not include more information about other bands for fear of too much of a digression; I think that the short example I provided is probably enough, but I will consider your idea. As for your comment on information in my draft that could appear biased, thank you! I will run it by Ericka to confirm whether I am breaking any rules.Brookeharowitz (talk) 18:45, 18 October 2016 (UTC)Reply
