Speedy deletion nomination of User:Brazen Jester/sandbox
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on User:Brazen Jester/sandbox, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. creffett (talk) 00:25, 10 October 2019 (UTC)

editIf you intend to make useful contributions about some topic other than your business or organisation, you may request an unblock. To do so, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}}
at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:CentralAuth to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy. Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In that reason, you must:
- Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
- Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
{{unblock|Your reason here}}
at the bottom of your talk page, replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason for thinking that the block was an error, and publish the page. 331dot (talk) 11:08, 10 October 2019 (UTC)Lunality (block log • active blocks • global blocks • autoblocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log))

Sandboxes are for experimentation, but edits to them appear in the Recent Changes feed just as any other edit, and sandboxes are not immune from deletion processes. You edited about what I presume is your own company to post a link about it, and your username was that of your company. These things are not permitted, even in a sandbox. If you want to experiment without it being visible to other editors, you would need to do it in a word processing program or click "Preview" instead of "Publish"(in this context 'publish' is equivalent to 'save'). Someone else will review your request, but if there are no edits that you want to make, there is no need to lift the block. 331dot (talk) 15:17, 10 October 2019 (UTC)
You will also need to review conflict of interest and paid editing. 331dot (talk) 15:18, 10 October 2019 (UTC)
{{unblock-spamun|TigerDawn|I declared my conflict of interest on my user page. I was not paid to edit. As I stated I was figuring out the system, chose to use data that would not mess up existing stuff, because apparently it does and gets ones username blocked.}}
- You only need one open request. Are you not paid for your position as CEO or otherwise paid for your work with the company? If you are employed by the company, you must declare as a paid editor; you do not specifically have to be asked or directed to edit Wikipedia(and in this case, you are in charge of the company as the CEO) Do you want your username to be changed to Lunality or TigerDawn? 331dot (talk) 15:27, 10 October 2019 (UTC)
{{unblock-spamun|Lunality|Lunality, Tigerdawn was being used already. :( Users are allowed to have personal lives as well. Again the company info was there as I thought it was private, and would not have mattered. In hindsight, should have used my personal email address as well. Sigh, one gets so used to typing in the same thing, things cross sometimes.}}
- I have renamed your account from Brazen Jester, and someone else will review your request. Please make subsequent comments as standard, unformatted comments, as you only need one open request. Thanks 331dot (talk) 15:46, 10 October 2019 (UTC)
- You will still have to declare that relationship and paid editing status(once unblocked). 331dot (talk) 15:47, 10 October 2019 (UTC)
