Hello BostonBrew. I just wanted to thank you for your edits on the Herb Chambers Companies entry as well as your commentary. I was previously under an anonymous account, but registered in order to communicate and contribute more. I appreciate your input on this article as I get more acclimated to Wikipedia and how it works. After talking with other users here, I understand your point of view and will work according to the guidelines to provide a factual base to all information on this page.
Hi, BostonBrew. I noticed your edits to the article Herb Chambers Companies which you created, and I felt that there were a few Wikipedia policies and guidelines that you might not be aware of, which might be applicable to this article.
- One of the core policies of Wikipedia is that articles should always be written from a neutral point of view. You seem to be doing a good job of maintaining the article's neutrality; however, remember to always be civil when dealing with other editors, even when reverting their edits or opposing their opinions on an article's talk page.
- Wikipedia has a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Using different styles throughout the encyclopedia makes it harder to read.
- If you have a close connection to some of the people, places or things you have written about, you may have a conflict of interest. Edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred from the tone of the edit and the proximity of the editor to the subject, are strongly discouraged. I'm not sure whether this applies to you or not, but I thought it might be useful just in case!
- Editors do not own articles and should respect the work of their fellow contributors. If you create or edit an article, know that others are free to change its content.
I hope that you enjoy contributing to Wikipedia. Remember, be bold, always adhere to core policies, and if you have any queries, get in touch! haz (talk) 11:32, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
