Racial policy in Nazi Germany edit

Could you provide a citation for your comment that Serbs were considered to be "descendants of nomadic Asian tribes who "invaded Europe" during the 7th century." Paul B 20:28, 27 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Yes, of course they were, but that does not mean that they were officially designated as non-Aryan or that they were thought to be descendents of Asian tribes. I'm not saying that such ideas did not circulate. I would just like to have a source to get some idea of how notable such ideas were. Paul B 20:38, 27 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
The citation says what Himmler thought about Bosnians, but it says nothing about Serbs - which you have added in your own words without a citation. Paul B 20:50, 27 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
Nazis tended to makwe up their racial theories as they went along in the war, so I wouldn't be surprised if Himmler said something about this. It's just that we need to be as clearas we can about the relationship between the two related concepts of the "Nordic race" and the "Aryan race". Paul B 21:00, 27 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
