Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did in Salsa (dance). Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that exist to attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policies for further explanations of links that are considered appropriate. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. See the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. --Spangineerws (háblame) 04:54, 15 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

You wrote: I would like to inquire about adding an external link to Category “Dance” . The link is for a site that teaches online dance lessons, offers videos and DVDs of all dance types. The site is www.learning2dance.com I think its very relevant to Dance, and provides a lot of information about different dances, and styles. I do recognize however that it is not a traditional link, and that’s why I would like to ask for your input about it.

I'm sorry, but no, Wikipedia's External links guidelines include "Links to sites that primarily exist to sell products or services" under Links to avoid. We would, however, welcome your addition to the contents of our articles. We try, though, to strictly limit additions to External links sections. Spam in Learning2Dance.com

edit

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Learning2Dance.com, by Agamemnon2, another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Learning2Dance.com is blatant advertising for a company, product, group, service or person that would require a substantial rewrite in order to become an encyclopedia article.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Learning2Dance.com, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Please note, this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion, it did not nominate Learning2Dance.com itself. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot. --Android Mouse Bot 2 16:47, 8 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Almost Amy

edit

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Almost Amy, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.myspace.com/almostamy. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot 04:53, 14 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion of Almost Amy

edit

A tag has been placed on Almost Amy, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia per CSD g12.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the article and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the page's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. — madman bum and angel 22:08, 14 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
